Description

Free provincial rec site. The gravel road in is filled with potholes and the turnoff for Burnt Beach is really narrow, a bit steep. No one else there in the winter, but hunters may be in the area. Locals say that there are a ton of free rec sites by lakes nearby, so the area doesn't get too filled up in the summer. Pit toilet available. Each site has picnic tables and fire pit. Quaint little private bay.

The road in is an active FSR, and just active all around. There’s quite a few other lakes around if this one is full. There were roughly five sites, kind of all along in a row. The end one is angled weird, but someone named a rock on the beach “wifi rock” and you can get one bar on and off. There’s some man made fire rings, and please limit your stay to 14 consecutive days. Don’t be that person!

Beautiful little spot. Good setup for camping. No 4x4 required. went there with my truck. Half of the sites were empty. bring your firewood and take your garbage with you (as you always should) there's no dead fall to pick wood around and people keep damaging trees to get firewood. Be better!

Stayed here for two nights after laketown shakedown, spyed a perfect sunset & enjoyed the lake for alls it’s worth yet got rained out by the time of my leaving

This place was gorgeous, we stayed right on the waterfront and there was a cute little swing by our campsite and a little dock that someone had built, highly recommend.

As for the steep drive into it, it wasn’t too bad for our low riding campervan and there wasn’t any pot holes when we drove down so must have been fixed up since posted

Free Campground. The road down to the Campground is very steep and has a lot of big potholes. Only 4 campsites, but very private and a beautiful view on the lake. Every campsites has its own fire ring at the beach and its own access to the lake. Pit toilets.

Fastest and best way to get to the Campground is from the entry next to the Elk falls day-use provincials area.
