Gravel road to trailhead parking has 5-6 spots for parking, a few could be for big rigs. Could park at trailhead also. No amenities. Not all spots are level either.

We slept great in our DGC. beautiful BLM with fire pit but no toilet. The site was very clean and beautiful for the sunset!

Report Check-In

Très bien, de la place pour +/-10 rv, chacun a un rond de feu

Report Check-In

gorgeous spot! definitely heed the warning about driving beyond the upper lot. looks inviting at first. there is one tight site down there before you need 4x4, it's a tight and private camp. small. not great views with the brush. but private. top lot is nice, FANTASTIC views. watched the full moon come up over the mountains. lots of traffic coming in to find a spot. not crowded tonight, but can see it happening easily

Spent one night here. (Not far from the Dripping Springs Natural Area, where we took a nice hike.)
Very quiet and dark, of course. The cows we’re grazing next to our van.
Great views!

Report Check-In

Great place! Great views. 3 5g Tmobile bars. Stayed 4 nights. Space is not unlimited. You are staying on the road in or in a few circles. 20min to town. Cows and bulls walking around😁

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot with trail to walk in mountains. Gravel drive in with some spots at side of road that leads to a couple flat parking areas. Some with 4WD go in deeper. Lots of vehicles but nicely saved apart and quiet. Nice views of mountains and Las Cruces. Great spot!

Report Check-In

AWESOME place - quiet private, the before mentioned cattle - fabulous sunsets!!

Report Check-In

We were lucky enough to get the last real spot in the upper parking area just before the trailhead. Before settling in the spot we attempted to drive the road that goes on after the trailhead parking but turned around after getting stuck in soft sand. We wouldn’t suggest driving that part of the road unless you have 4 wheel drive and/or high clearance.
This is such an amazing place. There are beautiful views of the mountains, a vibrant sunset and free range cows wandering in the field. If we had more time we would stay longer and take advantage of the hiking and biking trails.

Report Check-In

Beautiful mountain views. Only limited spots. No shade. Good cell. 14 days max, free.

Report Check-In

Nice, solid road with beautiful views of the Organ Mts. Went in with 2 full size trucks. One with a piggyback camper. The other towing a 16ft enclosed trailer. We went down to the first parking spiky on the right and had plenty of space. Great site.

Report Check-In

BLM land and two week limit campsites. A few pull throughs.

Report Check-In

Great spots right off the paved road for any size rig. If you have the rig for it continue thru the end and there's a 4x4 road that continues. Right away there's sharp turns and a steep washed hill but easier going after that. One spur road had more spots if you feel ok driving thru the wash. More peaceful and great views here. Verizon LTE good. Fire danger high, be careful. It can get windy fast

Report Check-In

This place is incredible.
The main dispersed camping area (parking lot, really) was quite crowded.

I continued on and climbed the mountain in my well outfitted, lifted, RWD Transit. It was a bit hairy getting up here, ever for having off road experience, but the van climbed it fine. If you have a 4x4 van, do t even hesitate, but walk your line first!

Once up on the plateau, you’re at the base of the mountains. I happened to be here two days before the full moon. Spectacular!

Report Check-In

Accidentally found this place because there is a sign stating that it’s a dispersed camping area visible from the main road. Checked it out and found a nice spot for the night. Gorgeous view! Quite a few other vans, RVs, and tents—lucky that we got here early.
Close to the road, but extremely quiet. Not far from the city and amenities. A few miles from Dripping Springs Visitor Center, which has water and bathrooms. Tons of hiking trails around.
The ranger, Rico, stopped by and chatted. It was nice to meet him and know someone was keeping an eye on the area.

Living.it.right’s review is probably the best description of the road. After the trailhead which is a small turnaround point, you better have some ground clearance. Big rigs should probably not go all the way to the trailhead but stay up on top where there is plenty of turn around space.

Chatted with Rico the BLM officer(don’t know his official title). Super good guy and will talk your ear off if you let him. We cleaned up the spot I was in from the previous people and got to know each other.

Report Check-In

Parked at the trailhead lot. Was the only person in the lot, but a few cars/RVs were in pullouts on the way to the trailhead. Road gets a bit rough pretty quickly after the trailhead lot, so I opted to stay in the lot. It was lovely. Surprisingly minimal road noise.

Report Check-In

Nice spot, great view of the city lights

Report Check-In

what a nice area. Hot but very nice views and my rig makes its own shade. only five other campers here. I'm at the trailhead parking entertaining myself by watching non 4x4s trying to go up a steep hill in front of me.

Report Check-In

Rangers enforce the 14 day limit. Around 10 sites in this location rigs up to 40 ft possible.

Report Check-In

Like everyone has said, this place fills up quickly! We found a spot all the way at the bottom before the very steep hill. We only stayed for one night and it was peaceful! If you don't have 4×4 I don't recommend attempting the steep hill. We watched at least 3 people in different types of vehicles attempt it + failed. Also of you do attempt it and don't succeed, there isn't a good place to turn around so you have to reverse back.

Report Check-In

Beautiful, maintained gravel road, big rig friendly. Got the past spot at 2:30 on a Sunday.

Report Check-In

The 360° views are beautiful. I parked close to the entry because most pullouts were full. I found a good level spot. Very quiet.

Report Check-In

Good for one night. Small site with a handful of spots very close together. Easy to access with 30ft class A. We arrived at noon and there was only one spot left. Very crowded with cars entering the trailhead all night. Beautiful sunset and mountain views. Fire pits at each site.

Report Check-In

Awesome spot! Got there at sunset so almost all of the spots were taken unless you drove up the dirt road a little further. Very quiet at night and a beautiful view of the mountains on one side and the city lights on the other. Would definitely stay here for multiple nights!!

Report Check-In

Awesome spot! It's a little bit small, but if you lucky enough and get early you might find a place. Extraordinary view on the mountains and the coyotes music.
PLEASE PICK UP YOUR TRASH AND CIGARETTE BUTTS.

Went here for an overnighter in my Jeep, and stayed across a wash from the main turn in which has about 10 or so spaces for dry camping in large RV's. quiet at night with coyote calls and Las Cruces city lights in the distance, nice!

THE park rangers were very professional and super nice, giving me a BLM map and chatted for a while.

Felt completely safe here.

Having the Jeep was nice, to get away from main RV area.

Report Check-In

Pretty sweet place and easily accessible. Love that you can see the city lights and still hear the coyotes yell. Would definitely stay here again.

Report Check-In

Loved this spot! It’s a bit more developed which could be a positive or negative depending on what you’re looking for. Nice gravel road coming in, very well maintained. A number of different size spots with small stone fire pits. Absolutely gorgeous views over the valley to Las Cruces and of the Organ mountains behind you. Great access to hiking trails at the trailhead or up at Dripping Springs where there are bathrooms, water fountains, and a ranger station. Dripping Springs has a day use fee though- fyi. Tons of BLM land and little roads to pull off on all over this area. Gets very windy though.

Nice little spot to camp! Dispersed camping limited to 14 days. No sevices. Nice road in and out.
