Latest Check-Ins

Was not open when we came. Not sure why, chain across entrance.

Report Check-In

20 soles to spend the night, quiet place. Toilets closed during the night. Oasis of Huacachina not worth to visit, to crowded and to touristic.

Report Check-In

There was nobody when we arrived in the evening. We asked the police next to parking if we could sleep there and they friendly said no problem.
In the morning (around 8am), the guy from the parking came but he didn’t come to us to ask any money 🤷🏼‍♀️ And we left, we didn’t stay there for the day
We spend another night there. Again, we came in the evening and left in the morning. Nobody was there.

Report Check-In

We arrive in Sunday. A lot of cars parked on street. we tried another private parking that not allow us to sleep in the car. The owner is very nice and charge us 15 soles to pass the night. we don't ask water or energy.

Laguna moron is 10 times nicer with 10000 less people. This place is a loud theme park with ugly buildings shadowing what used to be a nice oasis perhaps a long time ago

Parking was also a ripoff at 5 per hour

Report Check-In

We arrived around 4pm and were told we needed to pay 20/s for the night to park (small dirt parking lot, no gate or security). They accepted 10/s. After 6pm everybody left and it was super quiet. Toilets (basic, dirty) were left open. Left hand side of the lake are public showers for 2.50/s each. Right next to the police station so felt safe.

Report Check-In

15S for a day and night (to 9am the next day). No security at night, but the town felt safe. Toilets were left open during the night.

This town is pretty cool. We got mixed reports from other travellers but we liked it. Nice places to have a drink by the lake, and there left one end of the lake free of buildings where you can hang a hammock in the trees. Definitely climb the dunes for sunset if you can.

Maybe it's different if it's busy, but it was quiet during our visit and we loved it.

they charged 10 soles per night, many moskitos at the evening...; a guy said, the water from the tap beside the banos is potable, but water flows not all the time;

Report Check-In

They charged 5S for parking after we came back from the sunset buggy tour. As we asked for staying the night also, they wanted 20S more for the night, which we denied and bargained down to 5S more incl. toilet, which would have been 1S more each use. So 10S in total for day and night. For the tour: When we arrived at 3pm someone directly wanted to sell us a sunset buggy tour incl. sandboarding for 60S pp. Later Ricardo tours at the laguna offered us 30S pp, which we did and the ride was lot of fun, better then some rollercoasters. Make sure no kids on board. Recommended! For the shower: We asked as well the hostel on the left of the public bano/ducha at the laguna and they offered us hot shower for 3S. Traffic went down after 9pm, quiet till 6am for us. Problem was Huacachina is dead before 9am and no one there to open the gate so we can leave.
