Delightful National Park Service campground on the fabulous Blue Ridge Parkway, $10/night with NPS Senior card, $20 without. 1-2 bars on cell phone. Running water sink in bathrooms.
Report Check-InClean sites (RV/van and tent options), fast mobile coverage, $20/pn. Has a dump station and potable water. Great place to stay in the mountains! Not much of a view though.
Report Check-InAgree with previous comments. Very large campground, beautiful and quiet. Almost empty when I was there. Nice hikes nearby. Very windy (near Air Bellows!!). Bear activity signalled but didn’t see any sign. Nearby Brinegar Cabin worth visiting.
Report Check-InDaily fee is now 20 USD. Well maintained, spacious camp sites for tents. Picnic bench and fire ring at each site. Bears roaming the site apparently.
Report Check-InNo showers but the restrooms are OK. The A-loop for RV has more sunny sites. We took one with our van.
There is coverage for T-Mobile and others. You won’t have that one most campgrounds along the BRP.
Nice NPS campground at mile post 241 on the Blue Ridge Pkwy.
Smaller campsites but nicely spaced with mature trees all around.
$20/night
