We went into the dry river with our 2WD. To find it you have to go to las Torres, the dirt road in front of the comedor ruta 150, as soon as you get in the road there is a sign Cerro blanco, drive up until you find the dry river. The view is unbelievable, and very pretty. As I was walking, I found some pumas footprint, and a scene of hunt (probably a guanaco). Excited, I showed my partner. He wasn’t so excited about it!! Plus the lady at Ischigualasto told us the puma attack humans around here. So we decided to leave, and our wheels got stuck in the sand 3 times. We finally decide to spend the night at the entrance of the dry river. Conclusion: absolute worth a stop, be aware of the sand I would recommend 4WD, and if you are willing to have an encounter with a puma : do not hesitate 🤗

Great spot but careful without 4x4. When we wanted to turn around in the morning to leave we got stuck in the sand and had to use sand platters, shovel and deflate the tyres to get out of there. (3 tonnes VW van)

Very nice spot. We arrived at night and were welcomed by a zorro. Plenty of space in the dry river. Quite sandy but no 4x4 necessary. Quiet night and beautiful stars.

great spot, come off the road opposite bar comedor ruta 150, after about 50m turn right where there is a sign for cerro blanco and carry on to the dry river bed. we carries on along the river bed for about 500m in our 4x4 campervan. excellent spot, very quiet.

Real wild camp in a large riverbed with lot of trees. Enough wood to set up a fire and enjoy the place.

Super super super fantastic place to camp! It took us a couple tries driving up and down the highway looking for the entrance, but we eventually found a sign near a house (across from Parador La Torre restaurant) pointing in the direction of Cerro Blanco. We took this dirt road for a short distance before seeing the river bed and turning right. The sand wasn't too soft so we were able to drive further away from the road where we got total privacy and nobody came around the whole time we were there. It was a clear day so the stars were amazing at night. And oh yeah, there are tons of white crystals in the area! We found some outside the fence of the house at the entrance, found some in the river bed, and if you drive until you reach La Torre (a super small and cute little hamlet), you'll find a church with a facade built entirely of crystals.

Amazing... view of Las Torres, quiet, lonely and sheltered (partially) from the wind. 30km away from the entrance to Ichigualasto, absolutely wonderful. Didn't get a sunset because of weather, but beautiful views. Parked a few meters after the river, there is a detour to the right, went in 30 m away from the main road, about 2km from Ruta 38.
