Description

Nice new hotel, founded just one month ago. Everything working. Good restaurant. Rooms for 20.000 (with AC) and 12.000 (without AC). The owner is the commander of Banyo. Probably the best hotel in town. No WiFi established yet, but they promised to do it. (We arrived late and negotiated 10,000 Francs for a room.)

Nice place, and friendly owner Esso.
We payed CFA12000 for a room.
Esso arranged the “Sim-Guy” and payed 2000cfa for sim and 1000cfa for 1gb. Also the “Money-guy” came to the Hotel and changed my last Nigerian Naira’s. I lost some money, but that is okay. For USD to CFA I lost about 10% from bank rates, but I think it is normal in this remote region. Get the cash you need, and drive to Bafousam Ecobank to get cash from the ATM at normal bank rates.

This location is correct. Google Maps is not. Rooms ok. Hot water showers. Friendly guy, 'Esso' can help with SIMs and money (though changer who arrived had bad rates for Naira). Breakfast 1,500 Francs. No WiFi. Secure parking. Little way from centre ville.

Excellent place to rest after Banyo crossing. Like written in other reviews: the owner is an amazing fixer. He delivered SIM cards to the guest house, he organized a money changer (not the best rate, go to exchange express instead) and called a mechanic to do some fixes on our motorbikes. He even gets special breakfast requests from the village.
Rooms are clean with electricity and hot water. Decent prices: 12k for room without Ac/fan but it’s not necessary, it cools down at night.

Okay hotel, room was clean and shower had some hot water, bit it's definitely a work in progress. Very nice young guy (who speaks English), checking you in and can arrange SIM & Money exchange if needed.

The exchange rate isn't good, the guy offered NAR2000 for XOF1000, where he makes more than 30% profit on it, as the official exchange rate is NAR1250 = XOF1000. If you have some money, wait until an exchange in a city.

Room with fan, XAF12k.
Good place for a rest after the Banyo crossing

Decent hotel best place in this town - after Eastern Nigeria. Clean - friendly staff, good food and beer (don’t do the chicken! - have beef / plantains / fried potatoes instead) breakfast omelette plantains and coffee - hot water shower. Electricity 19hrs (10:00 AM>05:00) Secure parking - lots of room to work on
Gear.

I paid 10,000CFA.

I stayed 3 nights. Very comfortable.

Jesus the manager is a good fixer. Tell him what you need - he’ll arrange it. SIM cards delivered. Was able to get a money changer to visit hotel - fair USD exchange - and lined me up with a competent mechanic (Abdul Kouiri) to do oil change and install new clutch on my CRF250L Rally - at the Hotel. Ask for Abdul if you need work done on your bike - he’s done all types small and large CC.

(Motorcycle parts availability will be a problem in this town, but delivery from Douala 3-5 days possible. And as of today he (Abdul) has a used clutch kit set for a Honda CRF250L with about 1/8th left).

Clean rooms, no AC, they have a restaurant in the compound. Can arrange you meeting with one of the town guys to exchange money, get you a sim card...etc Very convenient when sick we paid 15000 FCFA per night

Report Check-In

Good hotel to rest after the hard crossing of the border. Friendly staff, good restaurant and bar.
Rooms between 10000 and 17000 CFA but no A/C even in the most expensive ones. However, the fan is more than enough because it is not so hot here.
The sheets and the bathroom are clean. In the room at 17000, the bed is quite comfortable, the bathroom has a real shower with hot water, a sink and normal toilets but without a plastic toilet seat (the flush works). The electricity was cut around 6 a.m.
The hotel does not appear new and is worn in the rooms. But it's clean and very decent. Much better than in Nigeria! We took a 2nd night with no problem.
The manager can call someone to change any currency into CFA XAF with the correct rate. You can even exchange XOF for XAF at rate 0!
The environment is calm, no mosque or howling church in the middle of the night.

Nice hotel! AC and WiFi don’t work, but the staff is friendly, the food is good and it is quiet here at night.

Nice hotel! Good bar! Parking, outside restaurant. Room without A/C. Price 15000 F. Standart african problem with electrocity and water

Report Check-In

Nice and comfortable, paid 15k but negotiated dinner for free. It was good, not too spicy. There was a real shower, too. All in good condition and clean. Still no wifi. Electricity was gone on the next day.

Really nice and comfortable hotel. With real shower! I paid 15k, but negotiated dinner for free. It was very good, not too spicy. Still no wifi here.

Report Check-In

Rooms between 10 000 and 15000. We stayed in our truck for 5000 and had acces to a room for hot shower.
Good restaurant but still no WiFi.
Parking was mudy but works for paving are going on.

Report Check-In

Good room but no mosquitoes net, the food is great but still no WiFi. My night was disturbed by mosquitoes.

Report Check-In

The place is well described but not all rooms have a fan and there are no screens on the windows. It made for a rather uncomfortable night.
Careful with the chicken in the restaurant. My "chicken leg" came replete with a well formed scapula.
