Karamoja museum | Tourist Attraction

Peter, the founder of the museum, showed us round giving us a running commentary of the showcases, without him it definitely wouldn’t have been worth the 20,000 shillingies we paid for the two of us. On a clear day it’s a beautiful walk from town towards Mount Moroto past a couple of mud brick hut villages. Despite it being a Saturday Peter stated he would normally not be open at the weekends.

i did a visit with miss teddy to a tepeth tribe village and to the crawl where you can see the cattle coming back to the little farm of the village and how they milk and sit and cook together! if you want you can camp in the village bring beer and celebrate with the people! i didn't do 😀
she is very nice and knows a lot! i also checked tour prices with Kara Tounga Tours in the Kara Toungas Guest House and they charge for the same almost 80 dollars!!!! I paid around
80 000 shilling (including tips for the villages) and gave a good tip because i felt guilty how much time she spend with me for that price! Totally recommend! The people in the 2 villages were so nice! Also to support her with starting her business in tourist sector!!!
she can also do hikes to a tepeth tribe far in the mountains for aprox 1-1,5 hours one way!

the museum is informative about the Karamoja area but way overcharged by the government! i negotiated!
