Description
Actually this is the end of the drive into the valley! Road closed, the glacier walkers continue by boats from here.

Road is open again, but the interim solution is quite adventurous, at least for our 2WD camper van...you’ll face a very short piece of mud (but shouldn’t be a problem) and larger stones. Rest of the road from this point on the road (all ripio) is in sub-optimal conditions with lots of holes and washboard (not very deep but still shaky). In some parts of the road the water level was quite high, so check conditions in Puerto Rio Tranquilo with locals before heading out. The landscape during the way is very beautiful, but it is enough to drive 30km to enjoy it. The Glacier Exploradores view point is mediocre, especially after having seen the Perito Moreno glacier
