Description

Camp ground with large area for tents and vans, big rigs will fit too. Nice hosts with little shop. Running water, showers and WiFi. Lovely area in the trees to camp and a trampoline! Quiet in off season. Paid 100mex per night for the van with two of us but think we were over charged, someone mentioned 30 per person. Not fenced so people could walk in but quiet area, felt safe.

Stayed one night $240 for van and two adults. Camped at the back of a big field. There is a pool, bathrooms, showers. Javier was a fabulous host and was thrilled that we found him in iOverlander. T-Mobile had two bars. There may be WiFi closer to the center of the campground but we were parked far enough away that we didn’t. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Very nice camping, clean pool and lots of flat, shady areas for vans and tents. bigger rigs might find it difficult to reach it and have less shady spots to park. 120 Pesos per person, well worth it.
Javier is just that type of host you wish for. We had an amazing evening with beer, Mezcal and cigarrs and he is very generous. This is a place you could spend lots of time.

Didn’t sleep here but nice area with flat spot and shade. The swimming pool was green… but common space super clean. They ask 120pesos/pers

Very well organized campground with a pool and very close to Media Luna. The owner, Javier is one of the best people we met in Mexico. So friendly and so welcoming, just a great guy. His mom is an amazing cook and will make make you some delicious Mexican dishes.

Great spot, highly recommend it!

We were the only one in the campground. The lady was very kind. 120 pesos per person. We arrived at 5pm and they closed the campground at 6pm so nobody could check in after that. Clean bathrooms and large spots for camping.

Cost : 120$ p/p. Access to the pool. Sanitary (showers and toilets). The owners offered us a beer when we arrived. Large space to pitch a tent. There is a dog in the campground, he is very quiet and only barked during the storm (very close). Pets are not allowed.

Coste: 120$ p/p. Acceso a la piscina. Instalaciones sanitarias (duchas y aseos). Los propietarios nos ofrecieron una cerveza a la llegada. Amplio espacio para montar una tienda de campaña. Large camping site with both a tree shaded area for tents and a very large empty field by the pool for RVs with trees only on the outsquirt.

120 pesos per person, the price was on a sign.
Possibility to rent a tent already setup for 250 pesos when we came.
Possibility of food served and canoe rentals.

Javier and Erica received us with a cup of wine, offered us to share their meal and we spent a few hours sharing food and conversation with them and their 2 kids. We had an amazing time and ended up not pitching our tent and sleeping under the stars which went just great.

We took a swim in the large pool in the morning before hitting the road.

Definitely recommend, welcoming owners, nice swimming pool, clean toilets, shower might be outside by the pool, we didn't see any inside, can BBQ. Lots of space for big rigs as well as for tents.
Located between the canal coming from Media Luna and an orange orchards.
We loved taking pictures of the locals bedding in the canal as we approached the camping site.

The coordinates for the entrance are
(21.8776258, -100.0422217)

Make sure you use these as the ones indicated on iOverlander will have Google make you pass by a small dirt road on the canal that is not good. We scratched the top of our rack on our van with low branches and the road is small and very rough.

Using my coordinates will bring you on a good road to the entrance.

No pudimos dormir estacionándonos en Laguna media Luna, así que vinimos aquí y pagamos $ 120 pesos x persona. Hay una piscina pero cuesta. El wifi no estaba disponible no funcionaba. Pasamos la noche tranquilamente.

There is a sign that says 120p per person. Negotiated to 100 since we were the only ones there for the night and made just a quick stop as media luna was closed. Nice grounds, we parked next to the pool in the grass.

Report Check-In

Good place for a night or more. 200 pesos for 2 people. Pool was not very clean but you can have a swim in the river directly outside the gate which comes from Media Luna. Clean toilets.

Stayed here because the Campground at Media Luna was closed due to Covid. Paid 100pp (solo in my van). Nice place despite the mosquitoes. There's a large swimming pool, picture attached. The next morning though, I woke up early to hit the road at 7a, gate was locked and there was no one on the property. Had to call the number and they hadn't someone open it until 8am. Sucked for me who woke up at 6.45am to avoid the heat on a long day of driving.

A very nice señora set me up with a campsite and dos cervezas for 200MXN. I didn’t bother to negotiate...I needed the beers badly after a long day of driving!!

It’s a lovely orchard the campground is in, and they are building a pool. Nose shady area.

Drive through Rioverde, and was not impressed so I came out here to camp.

WiFi works well! I’ve done much worse! :-)

Be amazing,
Tindog

quiet night, next to the channel. toilets and showers, not the cleanest but ok for one night.

As described. We entered from pavement side as we are so tall. We did swim in the canal! Clean bathrooms with seat & toilet paper. Large swimming pool was under construction. Wifi is slow. We paid p180 for the truck & 2 kids, 2 adults.

Spent 2 days here with the place to ourselves. Well nice well kept property on an orange grove. The owner was around here and there. Clean bathrooms and outdoor showers but we couldn’t figure out how to get the hot water working. It wasn’t necessary anyways because it was quite warm while we were there. We paid 160p per night (100 for our van and 30 pp). Really enjoyed our stay and felt very safe!

Really nice place! Worth it’s money. We had to unfreeze our fridge and freezer and we could put our stuff in their fridge. Very nice geste from them :)

Very nice campsite, surrounded by orange fields, with lots of clear and shaded areas. Bathroom & showers, wifi and cel signal good. The owner, Javier, was very friendly. 2km from Media Luna. We were very pleased with this place and highly recommend it.

Ok to enter when gates are closed. Javier or the groundskeeper Santos would collect when they return. Both are nice, friendly people. I was charges 130 p. 100p for the vehicle and 30 p per person. Wifi works but sometimes is slow. Had the place all to myself. Great spot to catch up with my writing, pictures, emails etc!! The twon of Jabalí is a short bike ride away and you can get groceries and various meats as there are a couple of butchers in town. Laundry services is available in town as well. Ll my laundry cost 84 pesos (1 person)

Loved it here, a really great spot. This is a quiet campsite under trees, not an American style RV Park with dump-stations at sites etc. Super-friendly owner Javier. Plenty of space for big rigs. Park-up can be in shade or sun (whichever you prefer), peaceful, basic but clean bathrooms/showers (toilets with TP), swimming in the river/canal (water is directly from the media luna so clean and safe to swim), kayaks to rent. Weekdays you will probably have the place to yourself. Javier comes only at weekends but his friendly security staff keep the place running all week. If you can't see anyone there, just let yourself in and find a space, the staff will come to see you when they come around. Javier's phone number is on the wall of the shop (4444010326), so you can call him if you have any queries or want the WiFi password. Entrance can be from the canal side track or the tar Road on the other side, but during the week I think only the canal-side gate is open. No restaurant on site but a reasonable place just outside the gate (on the tar road side). We had a great few days here relaxing and catching up with Internet. Highly recommended. Cost 30pesos per person plus 100pesos for the rig.

We arrived here with plans to go to Media Luna. It is right up the road set into an orange orchard. Super chill and the workers are really nice. Stayed for 4 nights. WiFi and unlimited oranges for free. Good bathrooms and we were surprised with the hot water showers. Filled our RV water tank for free here as well. Payed 180 per night for 2 people and a camper van.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite for a 1 night stop except for the bugs. Owner is exceptionally helpful. No water or sewer at site but they are available.

Very nice campground with lots of shade, firerings, WiFi, luke warm showers, clean bathrooms. Paid 100M$ for 2 people and a van, no electricity
If you need electricity you will have less shade but can park next the palm trees.
In the morning you can get breakfast and freshly squeezed orange juice from the orchard next to the campground.
There is a small tienda and a restaurant in walking distance.
