We parked at the end of the road by the pier and set our tent up under a palm tree about right by the open ocean, maybe 200 yards from the car. We set up after dark and took our tent down right after sunrise.

No camping, it is a public beach with boardwalks, tables,...
Report Check-InNice safe spot of you set up your tent after dark. I wasn't bugged by anyone to pay. lots of sand flies, ocean was very warm
Report Check-InThe tent spot on the beach is nice. The busy, dirty, noisy parking lot, however, is pretty much the worst spot on the whole peninsula.
Report Check-InThey're asking you to pay $5 / day (including all night) for camping here now. A guy named Baker across from friends of the pier will find you. He was fine with us camping and is a cool guy, if you're cool with him. His buddy Albert will try and get another $5 from you for night time security, but everyone in town (including Baker) told us not to pay him, that Baker was the guy. After you pay that fee, I suppose you could tent camp as per the previous reviews. You can also park at the retired gas station here for the same fee and they may give you a plug if you're nice. Or you can park in front of the bank here too, for free.
Report Check-InWe parked at the end of the road by the pier and set our tent up under a palm tree about 150 yards from the car. We stayed two nights, both nights we set up after dark and took our tent down right after sunrise. Beautiful beach to hangout on throughout the day.
