Fantastic spot! It run on donation. They are in the process of constructing a bathhouse. Currently only a few portajohns. The river runs through the back of the property and there is an amazing spot for swimming and hanging by the water. The camp host Hoss, is the best. Let him know that Jay sent you and he will take really great care of you. BTW All the water from the spouts is potable despite being label as not. The city forced them to labe as such because they wouldn't pay to have 'city' water plumbed in to the property. It comes from a spring and was perfectly fine.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
There is no signal and WiFi is about $3/day to use. Didn’t have a choice.

Report Check-InDidn’t get here till after 10 pm. I texted
The host, but no reply. Just a note in the entrance to find a spot and settle up in the morning.
It looks cute even in the dark.
So far, I like the vibe! 😎
Great find. Beautiful views. Clean bath house and the host is awesome. 9am yoga on the weekends. Space for 40 rigs but nothing longer than 20ft. No dump station. Yes water. Yes WiFi.

DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS! If it’s taking you down Verde Valley School Road, TURN AROUND. It’s a private way so you can’t get in. Says so on the website too but we didn’t check until we made it to the private gate and got stuck without reception. You have to keep driving north on 179, left/West on 89A, then down on Red Rock Loop Road to get there. The loop is a beautiful drive. Great campsite! Hot showers, clean bathrooms, yoga class at 9AM, and you can walk down to the creek to cool down. We dipped our feet & it was so nice :) There’s a sign on the way in with a phone number to text if you didn’t make a reservation, you find a spot if they don’t reply soon. It’s first come first serve base or reservation it seems? We just got there with no reservation. They’re donation based but their website won’t let you change from $50. You can talk to them. Nice picnic tables, even grounds for tents.
Report Check-InNO SKOOLIE CONVERSION ALLOWED - had a short bus and Sadona doesn’t do well with seeing skoolies. They were still really nice. If u are on a dirt road you are 35 min away from the location ur supposed to be. Find upper red rock road and go down there until u see the camping sign. And u must make a reservation!!
Report Check-InSpent two nights here Very pleasant. Second nigh had the place all to ourselves. Water and electric if needed. Level. Great camp hosts. You must enter from Sedona not village of oak creek!!! Google maps will route you through a gated community coming from the south. Gate is locked. Go to sedona on 89a to upper red rock loop road and follow it to the signs for camp Avalon.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay, hot showers and friendly dog named Meatball 😁 recommended donation is $45
Report Check-InI spent three nights and highly recommend it. Super friendly host. New bathrooms, hot shower and internet. Potable water. Space to park large overland vehicles.
Report Check-InThis is my favorite camp spot in all my trip. It’s beautiful. Right by a creek. The camp host is super friendly and funny. The bathrooms are incredible. Super nice. Great shower that borders on too hot (which I like). They keep a space heater in the bathrooms so it stays warm in the winter. You can fill up water with spring water faucets that they have. Highly recommend! Donation based.
Report Check-InThis is a spiritual retreat and I am the caretaker. While I am Russian Orthodox, the camp is open to all faiths.
Report Check-InA nice spot, and one of the few campgrounds in the Sedona area open in the winter months. However, know that you will be funding Global Community Communications Alliance, which cult researchers have labeled a "destructive cult."
Report Check-InGreat spot not far from Sedona. They work on donations and volunteers to keep this place running and so nice. Bathrooms, fire pits and creek access all from this valley campgrounds. 360 degree views of cliffs and beautiful homes.

Report Check-InMagical place. The property is beautiful and easy access to parked out space.
Report Check-InGreat spot just outside Sedona. Spiritual retreat that is pivoting to family friendly camping. Great swimming hole, friendly host, fast WiFi for $3 a day. Super clean. Definitely a hidden gem
Report Check-InPrivate campsite south of Sedona with access to water and port-a potties (clean and nothing special). Cost was $30 a night, and spots for RVs/Travel trailers are not as scenic as tent spots which have excellent views. After a rain, it’s very hard to drive and the grown is very slick. Spots have fire pits and in the summer they have more organized activities.
