Description
Big Bass Campground is located in the SW part of the Ocala National Forest in Umatilla, FL. Basic National Forest Camp with vault toilets, potable water & a single dump station. $15/night or $7.5 if you have a Pass of some kind. Must reserve online only. Oct 15-Apr 15 only. Host were very friendly & welcoming. About as good as it gets in the state of Florida for dry camping. Would definitely stay here again. Quiet hrs 10-6

Check yourself for very small ticks. We have had several embedded, not engorged. Due diligence advised! Yes, quite a few mosquitoes...

Great spot. Wonderful host. Easy road in even after 2 days of rain. Clean vault toilets.
