Stayed two nights. Cops rolled by numerous times and did not stop.
Let’s be clear about this location though.... there are many signs stating “no camping” & “no overnight parking” in the immediate area. Clearly we’re not wanted as overnighters.. the only additional signage that could be put up is along the road which is a little crazy.
We’ve been full time for 2 years, all over the country. Common sense says this is not a spot for overnighting. + copious amounts of gnats & unlevel & busy busy busy.
Florida is hard to overnight!! :(
Really great place to camp overnight. Parking on side of road good for small RV’s. Sign says no camping but there were several other people camping in their cars/rvs and no one came by to say we couldn’t. came by
Report Check-InAmazing place, but there are now signs up saying No Camping. We got in late and ended up staying anyway, in one of the parallel parking spots far away from the boat ramp, and no one bothered us.
Report Check-InQuite possibly the most beautiful place we've stayed thus far on our cross country trip. Sunset and sunrise were superb.
Report Check-InJust like everyone describe. probably one of the most beautiful places I have stayed. a Sheriff came by but just waved. Very chill place.
Report Check-InGreat spot. We caught a beautiful sunset. As others suggested we parked away from the ramp. A local stopped and said it’s a good spot and nobody should bother us. And in fact we did have a quiet night.
Report Check-InBird Creek boat ramp with ample parking and adjacent, small picnic park. The highway ends at the ramp. Trailer parking is diagonal on both sides nearing the ramp. Parallel parking is further away and is right by the water, both sides. This is the place to park to be out of the way. No signs, people do stay several days. Very busy with trailered boats and kayaks. The adjacent water on the south is a miles-long navigable river and used frequently all hours by shrimp boats and all manner of pleasure boats. Very scenic. The small park does have No Camping and Gate Closes at Dark. But it doesn't.
Clouds of No-Seeums late afternoon till sunset, typical of any salt Marsh in Florida.
Nice spot, but on a Friday night pretty busy all night with cars coming and going. lots of biting no see ums as well. Scenery is great though.
Report Check-InBeautiful, peaceful area the spend the night. I saw about four manatees hanging out by the boat ramp around sunset.
Report Check-InWe stayed a night here. Quiet, at night the police came but didn't said nothing. We felt safe.
Report Check-InNice place to stop and sleep. No lights with the exception of fishermen driving to and from boat ramp. Lots of bugs was the only problem for us in our minivan.
Report Check-InBeautiful place! Stay away as far as possible from the boat ramp to not bother the fishermen!
Report Check-InArrived a little before sunset, huge storm and was really windy all night. Absolutely beautiful spot. Popular fishing spot however, we were not bothered at all. No noise other than the wind!
Report Check-InGreat spot right on the water. Nearby little park with covered tables and pots potties that closes at night. We move to along road to boat ramp after a spectacular sunset.
Report Check-InAmaIng spit to spend the night! A few fisherman came through the night and morning but were quiet. They launched their boats and disappeared within minutes. The morning was amazing with a beautiful sunset, pods of dolphins playing by the shore and some black vultures and other kinds of birds singing. FLORIDA YOU’RE AMAZING!!
Report Check-InThis is actually the Bird Creek Boat Ramp. We spent a beautiful afternoon evening and morning here. Parked about 100 yards away from the actual boat ramp. plenty of room for more. some traffic zt night but not bad. mostly fisherman. make sure to bring bug spray.
Report Check-InWe try this road for fun and decided to stay overnight. The best place we did so far in Florida. Don’t go in the park or too close the boat ramp where’s there sign no overnight. The wifi is your plan. A lot of dolphins, pelicans and other birds.
