Something not right?

Description

Allows us to sleep one night before attacking the track for Cameroon. But we can't decently call this place a hotel. It's dirty and disgusting. No running water, no electricity before 7 p.m., no towel, no paper in the toilet. The sheets are dirty...I used a camping sheet to lay on the bed. 4000 Naira. Avoid if you can! The worst hotel of my life !

OK if you sleep in your car. Not a lot of space on the parking but for 2 or 3 cars it's ok. They open a room but it's not clean and no water for the bathroom, we didn't use it. They ask us 4000 nairas. We paid at the evening at one of the guy (a lot of guys were around us) and the day after the "manager" said that we have to pay. We explained him and he said that he doesn't know this guy, he never saw him... ask that we paye him again. Tried to discuss but more and guys around us and we wanted to start to drive so we gave him 4000 again. But if you have choice, sleep somewhere else.

We stay 1 night. Price 3000 naira. Friendly staff, no running water.

Report Check-In

Indeed not impressive but it was ok. Just don’t bring your girlfriend here. ;) They wanted 3500, I paid 3000. Airtel sim card to buy just next door (mtn is not working). Very nice and helpful people in the town.

We stayed 2 nights here waiting that the rain stopps before taking the track to Cameroon. Have to take a 3000 Nairas room but we slept in our small truck in the yard. MTN doesn't work here so we bought a new SIM card from Airtell at the shop next to the hotel.
Very simple African restaurant in front of the hotel. Only rice with red beans or yams with cornfood.

to add some précisions : they have a 3000 room : the room is good, no girlfriend to impress but happy with the room.
they have a smaller 1700 room : less clean sheets, a bit shady etc... but it's "okay" also for a one night
I asked about security at checkpoints before town, they say gembu is better, but here is okay too.
the area in general, after Bali, feels safer than the rest of Nigeria.

1700 naira for very basic dirty room. Secure parking, bathroom smells like urine and only has squat toilet (no sink or shower). bucket can be refilled in parking area. convenient location to get to banyo border. lots of ants and spiders.

Two Canadians travelling on a motorbike. Stayed her night before crossing border to Cameroon. 1700 for a room with a squat toilet. Very basic, not super clean. Perfect if you’re a single guy. Wife or girlfriend probably won’t be impressed though. Very convenient for hitting the border early, took us just over four hours, we left around 6:00 am at first light.

Nice hotel, ideal before border crossing, got a room for 3000 naira
