there is a paved road from awassa to sodo which you can use, our friend in sodo told us it is not crowded 1.45 hours driving! better choice because the shashmene- sodo road is in bad conditions and crowded! we missed that opportunity because the road is not on the maps

Report Check-InGreat tar road. Just before you take the road to Shashamane, you will find a tar road on the right. Take it and follow it until you’ll find an Y junction. Take left and follow this road. After 15km or so you will have a T junction, turn right here. It will help to follow the signing bedesa.
