Great primitive campsite within Tiger Bay State Forest. There are six big campsites at this campground that can be booked through the state forest reservation service (1-877-879-3859). They are only $8.90/night. Campground has one clean pit toilet on site. This is a great spot to stay as most state parks and other campgrounds are fully booked most of the time. Very quiet and peaceful place with lots of trails within the state forest. It is also only about 20 miles from the beach in Daytona Beach.

Quiet campground with spacious camp spots. No power or water, but there's a vault toilet if needed. Only $9 a night and you'll need to register and pay to get the gate code for access.
Report Check-InReally nice, quiet spot with huge sites. Plenty of wildlife and beautiful woods. A couple of warnings:
- Google directions can be totally unreliable. It tried to route us through closed private property multiple times. Make sure to follow the directions on the state park website.
- TONS of bugs and ticks. Make sure to check yourself often and bring proper equipment.
- Two other sites within a mile or two were using the forest as a shooting range. They stopped in the evening.
- It's $9 for a site but they charge a fee for reserving as well (I think $7?). If you stay multiple nights it is probably a wash but for one night it becomes more expensive.
Big huge sites, I’d expect that it’s peaceful and quiet most of the time, unfortunately for us people showed up in the site next to us and proceeded to be loud all night til they finally went to bed around 5am. Also some shady looking people in another site definitely not wanting to interact with anyone. To me felt a lot like free camping elsewhere, don’t know if I’d stay again.
Report Check-InAs described with huge private sites and easy sandy road access. We saw a huge fifth wheeler at a distant site so big rigs can make it. Reserve America runs the easy to use reservation with a one time $8 admin fee and $8 a night camping fee. Well worth it and easy to use.
