Chile
Very beautiful and quiet place in the only salad lake of south america.

We came with our 4x4 camper which is over 3 m high. The road down to the campsite I think has been redone, as it is steep but ok. We didn’t take a pitch directly when you go in as the electrical cables hang a bit and not high enough for our camper. Further down the dirt road though there are more places. And we pitched overlooking the lake. Lovely views. Basic WCs and showers (pretty normal in Chile). OK for a night or two.
Report Check-InHigh season prices: 6000CLP day use + 6000CLP per night. Very big rigs could have problems, is a 1 lane access road with low branches, my camper is 3.40 mts high and scratched a few ones (flexible ones, nothing terrible) and if the place is crowded, like today, you need to reverse 200mts until the soccer field to turn around.
Report Check-InKeep in mind... this is a lake. There is absolutely no threat of a tsunami here.
Report Check-InThe wire gate was closed but I let myself in. The wooden gate closed too but wasn't locked. No electricity. Nobody around.
An alarm sounded at 4.17am in the village. I packed up and left in case it was a tsunami alert.
Quite windy next to the shore but was able to pitch behind some shrubs.
Peaceful place if a bit run down.
Not many alternatives close by.
l'accès est très difficile , avec notre camping car nous n'avons pas pu y accéder. un 4x4 est nécessaire et depuis la route compter 5 kms au moins.
