No problems with our night here. Pulled in around 9:30pm and got up around 8 am. Cars were pretty quiet at night but once sun rose cars passing by. The dirt spot that backs up to ocean is closed off but the little strip of dirt, 100 feet from ocean is open. No one else was parked here.
Report Check-InCop knocked on campervan window at 2am and told us we couldn’t sleep there. There are no signs that say we couldn’t.

Report Check-InSeemed like a decent place to stay until I was moved on by police at 4:15 in the morning. It could be that they're cracking down because of the virus, and my 51 year old multi-colored VW bus is anything but subtle, but I still wouldn't recommend.

Report Check-InWarning!!!! Stayed here 2 nights in different spots in a Volvo wagon. First night was fine, second night I was rudely awoken by cops banging on my car at 12am saying I can’t park there even though there are no signs. Told me I could stay the rest of the night at my own risk.
Report Check-InStayed for two nights (on different spots along the Paseo del Mar). No problems with a small and stealthy van.
Report Check-InStayed more north near Epping Rd in front of what looks to be an empty house on one side and a field before the ocean, on the other side. No street lights so nice and dark, except cars every 5-10 mins (even though not busy area). No one bothered me. Walkers, dog walkers in morning.

Report Check-InStreet parking on Paseo Del Mar street just beside the ocean. Very beautiful and super quiet. Surprisingly no other vans while I was here, only cars that stop to look at the view. No "no parking" signs. It's a bit difficult to find a level spot, but I found one at the intersection of Via Bandini street.
