We stood there only for a night and paid 50Q. We could use the shower and the toilet, both was open in the night. We parked by the lake and took a swim in the morning. The street to Mariscos is ok for Guatemala (paved road with a lot of holes).

The lady who ownes the place asked for 100 QTZ, because she considers our rig big (5,5 meter/18 feet). Ended up paying 75 QTZ. Toilets in main buiding, closed at night. There are showers, but there is no water pressure. The camping area is a dirty parking lot next to the hotel, fishy smell (depending on the direction of the wind) and chickens. View of the lake is nice, breeze during the day, at night still hot. We didn't dare to eat in the restautant, since it seems there haven't been many customers lately (how fresh can the food be?). Lady seems confused, a neighbour opened the gate for us in the morning, so we could leave. No good value for money, but we consider it charity ;)

Bad road to this place but the place is awesome. Nice view and swim in the lake, shower, electricity, she asked for 30 Q per car but we ended to pay 25Q. We ate very good fish and carne asado for 60qz.

Camped on the small parking lot next to the restaurant/hotel. Paid 25 Quetzales per vehicle. Clean restrooms, cold showers. Araceli, the owner is very nice. Nice view of the lake.

Great little spot if you're looking to break up your drive and/or stay on Lake Izabal! 25q per car with a gated parking lot right on the lake. Electricity (may be charged for it), bathrooms, cold showers, and restaurant. No wifi. Yes, you can definitely pitch a tent here!

Report Check-In

level spot with good views of the lake. town is not much for site seeing and the road into Mariscos from the hwy was one of the worst we drove in Guatemala, but if you find yourself here it is a pleasant spot to camp on the lake shore.

paid only 25Q to camp 1 night
