Good value community campsites below the dry Ruacana falls and dam. Clean ablution block with no water. Large campsites under the shade of trees with braii. N$30 per person.

Unfortunately, nobody is really taking care of this beautiful site. The location and the river view are amazing, but the pitches are quite abandoned, and rubbish is everywhere. Water at the site works, shower works, too. The toilets are not great. If you don't need much, this is a great place to enjoy the sunset. 50 NAD pppn.
(Avoid weekends, though, as the lady here told us that locals use this place to party. Guess that explains the old bottles and cans.)
Spacious simple community campsite with a great location at the Kunene River at the base of Ruacana Dam. Sandy sites, concrete braai area at the site ist nice, even water at the site was working, restrooms are ok. Some rubbish and glass around but not too bad. The whole campsite would need some attention to be very nice. Cheep rate at 60 NAD pp.
Report Check-InNice camp next to the river. The ablution has no water. We did wild camping in the campsite and paid N$30 pp.
Report Check-InNice campsite. Very cheap 100nad only adults.
Large site, with Braai accommodation. Very quiet, we had a good night here . Clean toilets on pit, hot showers with Solar panel.
Water at site but no drinkable. You pays directly at the enter, direct to the people of the village.
We found this to be an excellent place to spend the night. Beautiful views over the river, very quiet. Large camp sites each have their own water tap. Plenty of space. Basic but clean toilets. Solar heating for hot shower (although we didn't take a shower so can't attest to anything more than noticing the heating apparatus above the facilities.)
At 50N$ it can't be beat.
Picturesque and spacious camping spots along one meander of the Kunene river. Shower, toilet and dish washing sinks available (installations could use some overhaul, but everything is working so far...). We received a friendly welcome, after this we only saw dogs and goats. Only downside is the constant background noise from the power station. 50 N$ ppn.

Report Check-InFriendly and welcoming people. Clean ablutions. Slightly rundown, but not too bad. Same for the rubbish, there is some lying around, but most rubbish is in the big bins (one next to each fire pit with a water tap too).
There is a small cabinet near fire pit #8 with two plug sockets inside. Useful for charging phone.
50 NAD/pppn.
Report Check-InAgree with Khaya.on.wheels! A bit run down but a beautiful spot by the river and cheap. Still 50ND pppn and 10ND for firewood.
Report Check-InNot looking maintained at the moment with lots of rubbish around but for N$50 pp I didn’t mind cleaning up the campsite a bit! Big crocs just below the campsite, warm water showers and well... cheap
Report Check-InVisited this campsite. Lovely Community campsite in great location on the river. Would definitely have stayed here but there was a problem with the local water supply. (pipe which they were waiting for local authorities to repair)
Report Check-InGood community campsite. Run by Himba people is plenty of shadow areas to camp. It is still 50 N$ pp. Good ablutions. Too hot in this season.
Report Check-Ingood value community campsite directly at the river, 50 N$ pP. Toilets and showers were very dirty when we were here. Water at the campsites.
