Kalahari Farmhouse | Established Campground

We stayed here a night on our way to Kgalgadi and really liked it as a stopover. Campsites are very comfortable with everything you need. Enough shade. The abultions are very nice, lots of hot water but a short walk from campsites. They also have a small butchery where you can buy game meat at very good prices.

Okay, the price seems a little steep if you look at the campsite alone. It’s generally well equipped and shared ablutions are nice and clean. But shade and wind shelter is a bit limited at the camp.
Campers are, however, made to feel very welcome at the Farmhouse, which is just beautiful! Good food and drink, fairly good (free) WiFi, a lovely pool and plenty of shady seating. Staff very friendly too. A lovely setting to relax for a few days.
We paid N$177 pppn with the Gondwana SADC membership card. Credit card payment accepted.

Loved our two night stay. We stayed in Campsite pitch 2. Campsite pitches are grass with own braai stand, power, camp light, and water (drinkable), and are a short walk from an ablution block with very clean toilets and showers with lots of hot water. The ablution block also has a place to do dishes. The campsite is a short walk from the farmhouse-styled reception, restaurant, bar, shop, and pool. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Jacob made phone calls and helped us plan our onward journey (thank you!). We paid N$450 for the two of us in a rooftop tent, for two nights, and included our drinks bill. Go stay here, it’s lovely. beautiful place especially at the reception bar and restaurant and swimming pool with lots of shade. the campsite is well equipped with shade, barbecue, electricity, toilets and very clean communal showers. Hot water. the very attentive staff and the delicious restaurant. pool at 200 m from campsite.

We decided to leave. I cannot echo the review of Norbert’s- who copied and pasted his review from 2018. This is not What one would expect from a Gondwana campsite. We left and went to Bagatelle!

Bad experience after all the positive reviews. price is up to 247 now. We have been the only campers. toilets and showers where opened for us after my wife walked back the long way to the farm. around the campsite several farm activity consisted of burning fields. in the morning we awoke in a lot of smoke. the neighbour's farm is allowed to use the campsite as a short cut to their fields. so we woke up very early to the farm guys running high speed through the camp. the campsite itself is run down and in a sorry state. you are on a green under a palm tree that would be nice, but you are surrounded by wasteland on two sides...

Price now 190R ppn. You can buy sim card at the petrol station. very good MTC signal. Free Wi-Fi only at the lodge area

Very nice campsite with 8 places, also for a truckcamper, each place has electricity, a watertap and a braai area.
The ablution are clean and in a good condition. The farmhouse is not far away and the offer a very good dinner. The staff are very friendly and well organised. We stay there 3 days.

Campsite in short distance to a beautiful old farm house which caters as a lodge, pitches have water, electricity, and braai area and are separated from each other, highlight is the farm house itself and its dinner prepared of home grown ecological ingredients, service minded staff as well, 150N$ pp (11€)
