Description

MODERATOR NOTE: No overnight camping allowed, please respect the wishes of the locals.

1/30/22-5:15pm-was just approached by two police officers and was told that I would be arrested and my van would be towed if I was caught “camping”in the van. Came here two weeks ago and stayed with no problem. Please be careful, police were somewhat aggressive when giving out this information.

Public parking lot next to beach at the end of 75th street. Overnight parking allowed. No parking Thursdays 6AM-6PM. There are public bathrooms that close around 9PM. Outdoor showers and water fountain are available all night. Paid parking from 8AM-6PM. There is a pretty sweet pirate ship playground for the kids and it is next to a park with an open field. Nice spot to stay for a night or two.

Perfect spot !
We had a quiet Saturday night here. Cop cars in front of the entrance when we arrived and when we left but they didn't pay attention. 6 others campers plus peoples sleeping in their car. 30 seconds from the beach, clean restrooms.

Perfect beach parking! Nobody approached us, arrived 7:30PM. Several other class B vans, cars parked overnight. Pay starts at 8AM but we stayed in the van, ate breakfast til noon, no problems. We went to the beach and paid $2 for 2 hours at noon. Meter lady came by at 12:30PM, checking plates, ticketed 1 van, 2 cars. Attached 2 pics, 3 vans w/public bathroom in the middle and looking back from the beach along blue walk way. This place rocks! The Broadmore Miami Beach Hotel is on the right, Pirate Park on the left. Well lit paved beach sidewalk. Houses to the left to the end are up to $26 million (Zillow) but hard to see over the hedge

Report Check-In

Nice beach parking lot. Free from 6pm to 8am. Lots of other vans in the lot. Quiet and no one bothered us for two nights.

Couldn’t have asked for a better location in Miami! We pulled in late on a Saturday night and woke up to a gorgeous sunrise at the beach right next to us. We were comforted to see a couple other vans parked for the night, as well as a handful of cars. Unfortunately there were some obnoxious kids blasting music and fireworks nearby until around midnight, but it was totally quiet for the rest of the night. Quite nice to have bathrooms nearby in the morning (open at 7am). Keep in mind parking is paid from 7am on through the ParkMobile app.

Very nice place to stay. We arrived around 11pm slept in till 8:30. Stayed for another hour. Many vans were here. If you park by the bathrooms you will hear people through the night but still really great experience.

interesting place to investigate in the future

quiet but packed with cars. I'll edit after I've slept.

slept here on a Saturday night. definitely some other people sleeping in their cars. late September. not too hot with a fan going. unfortunately the bathrooms were not open yet when I woke up at 5am. Beach hours are 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. it's pretty nice because the park lights are all orangey and dim, so it's not super bright in the parking lot at night. I slept here a second night and was not bothered but I did hear a cop having a conversation with a woman who's been living in the parking lot for a while trying to get her public assistance. he was very calm and spoke with her for at least an hour. I overheard him explaining that camping is against the ordinance and that any kind of living in your vehicle is considered "camping" whether you're sleep or awake. but he also was explaining that she didn't need to move right away, there's a whole system of warnings. can't say whether you could get away with a camper or van. so far I've done two nights in an suv in this parking lot and one night in another parking lot with no problems. attaching a screenshot of current prices and hours for the meters in Miami area.

A little noisy at night but the stay was nice! Beautiful sunrise and clean bathrooms.

Stayed here a couple of nights, free parking between 6pm-8am. There were several other class b vans here, some stayed throughout the whole day. No one bothered us and the beach is about a 30 sec walk. Bathrooms are open 7am-8pm. Seemed safe enough, there was a bit of night activities but nothing too extreme.

Awesome location. we stayed a 21 foot Toyota RV. There were three other camper vans and a few cars. we noticed the police showed up in the middle of the night and stayed the entire night. They did not bother anyone and there are no signs telling you not to park overnight. literally a 30 second walk to the beach. Awesome!

North beach parking lot off of 75/76th street. note that the entrance is on 75th street. We arrived at 2pm and it was not very crowded. parking isn't free until 6pm but it was roughly $1 per hour. 6pm - 8am, parking is free. A cop car was parked in front but they didn't bother us one bit. We were the only Class B here until 10pm when two more arrived. it's well lit and you're less than a 30 sec walk to the beach. One thing to note is that it does get a little loud at night so if you're a light sleeper, this isn't for you.

Lots of people hanging out on a Sunday night, but seems safe to stay the night. In a class B.
