We had a problem with cardan and crosses. This workshop opens at 9 am, we came at 9:30 and mechanic said that we must wait for the boss when he finish his coffee. We stayed to 10 am, but the boss did not came. For us was this totally unprofessional and mean. We saw the boss and he saw us by window, but still he did not came. Mechanic can not said anything, he must wait for his boss too. The boss maybe has five litres cup for his coffee or I can not explain this.
This service did not help us, so must went to another - to Kaufmann, where were professional and nice.

Came on a thursday early afternoon, not a friendly welcome and couldn't help us until a week later. Eventhough we only asked to do a check of the undercarriage, all filters and doors after coming from all the dust and salt in Bolivia. Didn't recommend anyone else so we went to Kauffmann Mercedes where they were friendly and very helpful.

Quite overpriced for the simple question we had. Cleaning the dibujas, tapping the carborador and small stuff he asked 40.000 pesos.

Absolutely excellent mechanic. We went in with a stuck thermostat, got that fixed. When Nilton listened to the car he noticed a problem with one cylinder, isolated the cylinder, diagnosed what exactly the problem was, and fixed it, which required some machining work. The car now runs noticeably smoother, more efficiently, and overall "happier." Yes, he does charge professional rates, but you do get absolutely professional expertise and service for your money.

Very good mechanic. Has a lot of American cars but repairs all kind of cars. Good for engine repairs as well.
Open monday-friday 900-1400 and 1500-1900.

Not the cheapest.

Realy the best mechanic we had on our whole trip along the Panamericana. Actually we needed a spare part for our Dodge what they do not have anywhere in Chile. He build a new part out of a Ford and even did some service around. He works a lot with engines as well. I am pretty sure if you have a problem he will find a solution or let you know what to do. Highly recommended!!
