Description
If you can't or don't want to go to Bethlehem with your own vehicle, you can take the bus from the Damascus Gate East Jerusalem bus station. Bus 231 takes you to Bethlehem, from its final station it is a 15min-walk to Nativity Church. A one-way ticket costs 7 NIS and is purchased directly from the driver. The signs on the bus station are not necessarily correct, so just look for a bus number 231 and hop on in when it pulls into a station.You need your passport/immigration card - there might be a check on the border.
