Tickets for monastery cost 200bir at 2019. But as usual in touristic place in Ethiopia several guys push you to be your guide, and anyway to charge you the cost for the rope. At least I paid 200bir extra for the rope. I declined about guides. In fact the monastery is nothing incredible. What is incredible is the view up there! And incredible is also the 15 vertical meters to climb the rock... it was my first time, I'm not fat but neither a sport man...the 15m are not impossible, but not easy. Enjoy the experience! And the perfect and stunning gravel road to go there! IMPORTANT: only men are allowed to climb and enter in the monastery.
