Something not right?

Description

Small campsite on the steep slope of a hill.
Spots are flat on rocks and just soil.
Ablution is simple and clean. Showers are only hot in the morning. You have to ask for the key. It is free of charge.
We payed Dh60 for 2 persons and 4x4. But there is a 10% tax, so, a total of Dh66!!
You can also rent a room.
In the night the dogs are calling each other until daylight.....:-(
The restaurant was closed because of restoration work.
The best way to get to the camping is the road from the seaside and not from the hill. The turnoff to the camping is small for the big rigs, but possible.
From the camping you can walk to the medina. First a steep climb and then straight forwards to the old city. About 30 minutes. On the way back you can take the corniche road for a change, but that is a bit longer.

Latest Check-Ins

Okey for one night but really nothing spectacular… payed 20 dirhams (~18€) for one vehicle, price seems to be independent of the size of the car or if you need electricity or not. Wifi is really good at the camping spots, shower a little run down, but sanitarys are regularly cleaned. Refilling drinking water tank is easy. All in all okey, but expensive for what you get :)

Nice camping and the only campsite in Tanger. security guard, plenty of spaces. Construction work was finished by the time we stayed. Cost 200dh for 2 persons and 1 4x4. Best is to bring earplugs if you want to make sure to have a good sleep as the road noise is really noisy until late plus dogs barking.

Entrance can be overlooked easily as it's just a ordinary door, but google maps sent us at least into the correct street

Nice campsite which has an entrance which is difficult to spot.
Very friendly staff. Showers were really hot and the while place is well maintained.
All the parking is flat.
40 minute walk into the centre of town.

nice but expensive camping site - pools and showers , very steep entry and height maximum is 3,6 meters …

Canping is as described.

BUT: look for the hose when choosing your spot. They started watering the flowers and trees around 2 am next to our car. The water they used seemed to come from the toilet sink. So the smell was almost unbearable.

Super nice camping resort, it’s got a pool, toilets, hot shower, and cafe. €15 for two people and a parking spot without electricity. Can also just use the shower & or pool for 5.

120 for tent and bicycle. I reckon it will be nice, once the construction is done. the price is a bit ridiculous for what you get now. nice view tho.

everything ok. Actual campsite still under construction. Enter through hotel gate! Approach from seaside!

Report Check-In

The campsite is under construction and it’s possible to park in a parking lot of the luxury hotel above the campsite at the moment. There’s a pretty dirty washroom which you can use, unfortunately staff of the hotel comes by often to wash themselves too & there’s no door (only for the toilets). All this for the normal camping fee of 95 DH per night for two persons & a car. Showers cost 50 DH and using the pool 100 DH. In my opinion it’s very overpriced (most expensive campsite in Morocco we stayed at, although there’s no real campsite atm). They even wanted to charge us more & said our opel combo was a caravan (never heard this before either). Wouldn’t recommend it, but is a safe place to stay & unfortunately there are no other campsites in Tanger. Maybe the real campsite is worth the money, don’t know.

Camping is closed (for construction?) - even there is a big “ouvrir 24/7” sign at the gate!

Haben hier eine Woche verbracht da wegen Corona die Fährverbindungen nach Europa eingestellt waren.
Sehr nettes deutsch sprechendes Personal/Besitzer.

Not sure if the owner have change since the previous visit but this place is now operated by the hotel. You can camp in the location that the coordinates lead you or more up hill in the car park of the actual hotel with great views over the beach. All facilities are in perfect working condition and some of them are brand new. We were welcome with a great smile and we did not come across the angry man described bellow. 100% recommended!!!
