Before the Road Barrier there is a nice spot for tents. You can rest here one night. There is some rocks front of the tent area you can hide your equipments inside the holes and close with some stones. You can climb easy to top and turn back for lunch time :). After this point you need 15 km and 1200m for 5740m parking area

Good place to camp, however we did not manage to climb Uturunku the next day due to an injury and I suppose mental weakness. We already had to walk the bikes the last km to this place. The road leading here was terrible with sand and rocks. It didn't improve the next day. We managed to ride the next 5km unloaded, but after that again had to walk a lot and eventually gave up at 5300m. I don't see how someone can get back at lunchtime with the current road conditions. It's probably still possible to summit and return to the village if you leave very early, but definitely consider camping higher and expect to be very very slow.
