Description
Since there are no camping options in Tacna we were told by the tourist information centre we could ask for permission from the tourist police station to park there. We were welcomed, but this place is not suitable for giant rigs as it will block the street.
Near city centre, no infrastructure!

Report Check-InReally quiet night here. Police were nice. This little center of Tacna is really cute. It will be a nice last night here for you if you're leveling Peru. Supposedly public Wifi is available in the square, but we "couldn't connect", as usual.

Report Check-InStayed here one night before crossing the border and it was relatively quiet at night. Cars driving by at 6am but nothing too loud. Cops at the office we’re nice.
There is a bathroom at the garage at the corner for .50 soles to use open 7am-10pm. If not in those hours you can try the police department across the street from the cathedral (Green building) and they have a bathroom you can use. However it’s next to a jail cell and not very clean but food for emergencies
Report Check-Instill a good place in tacna to park your car/van during daytime and to stay overnight. just talk to the officers at the tourist police station. they informed us about the road to lima being blocked by a minor earthquake around atico. still open and free wifi, otherwise no infrastructure.
