Drive straight to where you see that turtle hatchery make a left down the beach to a cul-de-sac. Solid ground for parking. Definitely no restaurant or anybody selling beer here. Asked the taxi driver and he said that was the case. The waves are a killer, literally trying to keep my knees from buckling pretending to know what I'm doing . Be careful. Nice spot to hang out for a while. there is a couple residences and that's it.

Perfect place to sleep after releasing (or not) turtles. This place is quiet between the ocean and the lagoon. Only downside there is a lot of waste and we found a syringe in the sand. Very beautiful sunrise over the lagoon.

Beautiful spot but very dirty, we spent a quiet night, but at 9:30 the next morning 3 men on scooters came to tell us to leave because it's private, supposedly. One of the three showed us a security badge which didn't look like an official one, but we were planning to leave so we didn't fail to object and left.

Very nice spot, it feels like Baja!
Like said before, some people are coming to chill on the beach but all are very friendly. We spend two amazing nights there, it was very quite.
Unfortunately no surf here

This is an absolutely wonderful campsite! A few locals came by on the weekend & at sunset (they were all super friendly), but otherwise we had the beach to ourselves for 3 days. Not the best spot for swimming as it’s pretty rough & there are a descent amount of mozzies around dusk, but the palm trees & east beach access make up for it.

We also managed to get stuck in the sand by driving just 1m too close to the beach (no fewer than 10 locals materialised out of thin air to help pull us out) and we saw TWO other local vehicles get stuck themselves the same afternoon, so be mindful of staying on the packed sand!

Unfortunately, there’s also quite a bit of rubbish around the parking/camping area, so plan to pick up a bag or two as a contribution to this beautiful beach. Such a great find!!

Informal, public parking at a dead-end track. Visitors enjoying sunset, after dark no more people. In the night a few environmentalists came to saveguard the eggs from the newly dug turtle nests. We did not approach them - if you do: make sure you use a red flashlight (like they do).

Had a quiet night. Beach virtually deserted until 9:00 am (when we left). Turtle tracks to be seen.

We spent a week here and also came back a few more times. It’s so peaceful!! Compare to the other spot by Agua Dulce (the one closer to the baby turtles campground) this one has palm trees , more space to hangout outside your RV, and also more locals come here to park their cars when they go fishing or want to just hangout in one of the palapas but they only come either early in the morning or in the afternoon by sunset. All locals very friendly. Most of the time we were just by ourselves. By far our favorite spot in Puerto Escondido.

we came on a Friday afternoon and no fewer than 50 people showed up for various reasons. some fishing in the lagoon, others partying on the beach. they were all friendly, but this place is far from a secret the last reviews made it seem. they did all eventually leave and then it was peaceful. lots of mosquitos from the lagoon at sunset and ants everywhere.

Fantastic spot just north of Puerto Escondido. Super quiet and relaxed. There is now a small restaurant that has opened on the beach. When we arrived it was closed and looked as if no one had been at the restaurant for a long time. So we used one of their palapas as shade And parked right next to it. The owners arrived in the afternoon and told us we could continue using their palapa as shade and for our hammocks if we bought beer from them. Perfect deal as we ran out of beer anyway. So nice to be between the ocean and the lagoon. Perfect place for dogs. There is even a toilet here!! Be careful when swimming, the ocean currents are extremely strong and dangerous!!

it's a beautiful quiet spot for a few nights. there is a small restaurant, selling beer. not even crowded on the weekend.
just some mosquitos 20 minutes during the dawn.
we liked this place, but no shade for the car.

This is the actual spot to camp or picnic by the palapas between the freshwater lagoon and the ocean. Very quiet, friendly locals who come and go, nice beach. Dirt road to get here is fine with a regular car, but don't venture in the beach even if you have 4x4, as it is turtle habitat, and you will get stuck.
