Road construction. Waits of anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours so bring something to do, cause you may get bored. They've closed one side of the highway down to one lane so they have you wait while the other side of cars passes, then let your side through. Vendors are walking the line if you want to buy a snack with Pretty decent prices.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

We also had about a 15 min stop. No issues, plenty of vendors with snacks! Could get super muddy if it rained recently.

Report Check-InWe pulled up just as they were letting the other side go through so only about 20 minute wait. They're moving along pretty good I'm updating the gps because the construction has moved a little more south. There are venders walking along the car line so if you get hungry, there's things like sodas, waters, fruits, ice cream, etc for pretty good prices.
Report Check-InWe were travelling South in our van on a Monday afternoon, looked like a few hundred metres of traffic being held going north but no vendors.

Report Check-Instill a lot of construction, maybe 2-3km of unpaved road. I passed immediately bit the line the other side was quite long.

Report Check-InYup. Get out of the car, stretch your legs. Get some cut fruit for 40 pesos. Walk the dog. Check your email. At least there is 3 bars of cell reception here.
Report Check-InDidn’t think this was going to be a permanent stop. Going south in December we waited for over an hour. This time at 6:30pm we have been stopped going north yet again. No idea why they can’t just rotate traffic but expect waits here!
