This is the office of a coop that organizes tours in the reserva Miraflor. We went for a tour with Alexander who showed us the area and we really liked it.
The tour lasts the whole day, you have to take the bus early in the morning and you get back mid afternoon. You can customize the tour: choose to have a typical breakfast and or a lunch or just one of them. A family will prepare it for you at their house. Most of them could host you for a night of you need it.
We had an overview of the high zone of the reserve by walking through it, a mixt of forest and dry field land. We also went to an orchidea garden before lowering down to the medium zone and enjoy a small fall with cold water : super refreshing. Finally we have been to a viewpoint and got down a small trail to reach the bus stop. Very unique experience and everyone were happy to talk to us. We paid per person 14US for the breakfast, the guide and the garden, 10C for the Cascade, 65C for the round-trip in bus.
You can also buy coffee directly at the coop, for 140C or 80C a pound.
People super friendly and the front desk women can talk English

we went to the office here, booked a tour and where very happy! can highly recommend!
what we did: early bus to high region. breakfast with a local woman. a guide took us around the community, orchid garden, woods, waterfalls, local farmers. he spoke very good english. we had luch with a local family. bus ride back.
all day activity. we paid 20 usd per person including everything mentioned above exept bus ride (30 c pp).
its a cooperative. meaning that you pay everything in advance and get a small ticket for everything. during the day you gave the ticket to the person who cooked or guided etc. afterwards when they are in town they can collect the money at the office using the ticket.
tours can be very personal and tailerd to your needs.
(orchid garden is a joke and a scam. we recommend doing something else in stead. just ask the guide about it, he will explain it ;)
