Democratic Republic of the Congo
Spent a night free at the catholic mission.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stayed the night. I think they are becoming more commercialised. They started by asking for a donation. This quickly became a fee of 10,000 which we agreed to which then became 25,000 which we didn’t agree to. Paid 10k in the end. Otherwise, very nice and best place to stay if you need to in Luozi (which is quite likely).
You can also change money in town but rate didn’t seem very good (3.8 Congo franc to 1CFA).
Report Check-InStill a nice place to stay. Now the fathers are Maglour and Leandro. They are very friendly, I could pitch my tent and use toilet and bucket shower. More than enough! I shared some drinks with them and gave a donation. They also showed me a super nice restaurant. A good spot to rest and explore a real DRC village.
Report Check-Inwe stayed one night.
Père David is friendly and we talked with him : very interesting
Free. And we donated 5000FC
Nice place to rest up after the Londela-Kaye border crossing!!! They let us camp for free with use of a cold water shower and toilet that has a toilet seat and toilet paper. We donated 5,000 Congolese Francs for letting us stay.
Report Check-InFriendly, they let me camp inside their yard, on thick grass that doesn't even need a mattress to sleep on. I will donate something to them, as others did.
Report Check-InReally welcome place where you can overnight stay in quiet place.
Still free but we gave books as donations
Gave 5,000 cfa donation for the 2 of us. They gave access to a shower and dunny.
Report Check-InCamping in the compound with use of bathroom with good loo and shower. we gave a donation in cfa.
