Mozambique
Peaceful and quite place with 5 large campsites and huts close to a quiet beach. Each campsite with own ablution and braai.
Nice dogs around. It’s a little bit remote. So you have to walk about 800 m to town. The restaurant is good with a very nice view over the ocean. Walking distance to the nice beach where also the restaurant is, is about 5 min. For us the best place to stay for camping at Ponto.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Lovely campground with private sites with clean ablutions and hot water showers. Nice lounge with wifi. Quiet location on the edge of town but short walk to beach and restaurants Owner was super helpful with emailing proof of booking and invitation for immigration at border. Staff were welcoming and able to connect us to Sim cards and laundry service, all on site. 500 rand for two people and vehicle per night.
Report Check-Inin summer camping is 200rand per person. more If you have meticais as they do a bad exchange rate to local money (run by south africans) have to walk 200m along public road to get to a magnificent non swimming beach. I would not recommend the accommodation very pricey at 1000 Rand for straw hut full of mosquitos and bugs. there's also a basic campsite along the road to the beach you have to pay 170rand pp pn here at this camp site. unfortunately points is overpriced for a tourist trap with no infrastructure
Report Check-InGreat camp with restaurant, pool, free wifi. Each camp is separated by reeds with private ablutions in very good condition.
Great manager in Amor, giving all the tips u need on Ponta.
Layout of lodge is rustic and beautiful in and amongst an indoor/outdoor forest.
However lotsa mosquitos to deal with at restaurant, but not bad at campsite.
Walk to town or to magnificent high perched restaurant over the ocean - watching whales breach.
All sand roads for 2x4 or mainly 4x4 access.
When you go here, just drive into town to the Petromoc fuel station and then follow the signs or your navigation. If you take the short route over the hill you need 4x4.
Only four campsites. The lodges are located together with a nice social area. We could use the kitchen and the (second) larger pool.
Paid MT1900 for two adults and two children.
Report Check-InWe really enjoyed our stay here very much. The camp sites have shade under trees and privat ablutions with hot shower, cleaned daily. The lodge itself is green and friendly with an open space for sitting, exchanging books and playing pool. Bev is a wonderful host. The town is nice and has a friendly flair. There is a beach in 400 m walking distance which is very private and quite wild. Diving is recommended at Blowing Bubbles Dive Center, ask for Mike.
Report Check-InAs described there are five spacious, shaded campsites each equipped with fully working and daily cleaned ablutions. The tap water is potable and there is electricity.
The cabanas and the main area are designed with an eye for details and decoration, are inviting and spotlessly clean. There is a small pool, a billiard table, lots of comfy places to sit, a well equipped library shelf for pleasure reading, good wifi, a kitchen area including all the pots, pans and cutlery, as well as a small massage parlour.
Bev and Mandy go out of their way to make you feel welcome and help you organise your activities in town so that you can get the most of it.
The location is well chosen for it is quiet but not too far away from town so that you can easily walk to the main beach and all the activities.
Camping is 700Mt or 175Zar pppn.
