Exceptional view! Enter by crossing over cattle guard on opposite side of highway from microwave relay station. Very good sandy roads, no ruts, if you can make it over the cattle guard the rest of the drive is a breeze.
The road weaves between the pinion pine and juniper trees and therefore would be on suitable for large RV's for trailer combinations.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
You can absolutely get a large rig in here. The main problem is the giant drop off at the cow grate. Other than that it isn't that windy or tight
Report Check-InA few spots are very accessible once you cross the cattle guards. You’ll see no fire signs but it’s good to camp here. I followed the road further bc others said it was good. It was sandy for awhile and occasional roots. But then I turned around bc there was rocks to go down over and it was steep. So if you have sedan I’d stay at those spots near the road.
Report Check-InDirt road off highway that has several places to park with beautiful views. The road could get dicey after the rains.
Report Check-InGreat view! Definitely a bit tricky getting in, but managed with a 29' tt pulled by our 1 ton extended length van. Unless you're very resourceful and highly skilled at backing up, avoid this if pulling a tt or fifth wheel longer than 22 feet. I had to unhitch and reposition my tow vehicle due to the tight turn-around.
