Nice free spot right outside of the south rim national park entrance. Easy access in a 2WD van, but the road gets rougher the further back you go. FYI: As of 4/1/20 they have closed any access to Grand Canyon NP due to Covid-19. We showed up an hour after they put up the barricades.
Report Check-InPulled in the first spot. You can hear the road, but not many cars at night.
Report Check-InDrive a bit further down the track to get away from the road noise. We had a very peaceful night. Muddy when wet.
Report Check-InSpent 1 night, road noise stopped around 10am then it was quiet all night. Good to be so near the park entrance. We took the turn off from 64 and parked in the first pull thru on the right. Easy in and out with our truck and trailer, plenty of space to get round.
Report Check-InBLM, several sites with fire pits. A little noise due to proximity to the hwy 64. Spent a couple of nights here since the campsites in the park were full.
