Great place, didn't see a single other person, great cell service (AT&T, Verizon & T-mobile). What more could you ask for? I would stay here again. This is probably the best free spot near Bryce Canyon NP and one of the closest as well.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
ROAD CLOSED FOR WINTER!! Try losse canyon or the subway parking lot
Report Check-InQuiet location, lots of level spots, easy to find, road adequate for Ram Promaster clearance and two wheel drive.
Report Check-InNice spot and fairly easy to get to. Was already a few vehicles but kept driving around until we found a spot.
Report Check-InQuiet camping, pack in, pack out! No water or bathrooms, but a nice fire pit by most camping sites
Report Check-InDixie National Forest about 20 miles from Bryce Canyon. Good gravel roads, lots of sites that are easy to get to. Although there are many campers here, we are all quite some distance from one another.
Report Check-InLots of spots but busy. Can def hear highway noise from first set of sites but not bad and quiet after dark.
Report Check-InWe came early. We had a very good spot. Hard to find free dump stations. Gas station and campground charges $20 per dump.
Report Check-InThis place is great. I got my class c in the back and it was so quiet. Spots are spread out. Would totally come back and stay longer. I had decent Verizon service.
Report Check-InAs described, lots of spots to choose from especially big rigs. We're 69.5 ft and didn't have a problem finding a spot. Stayed 2 nights
Report Check-InTried to camp here, but it's a popular place. Between all the camp-vans and the soft ground, I couldn't find a spot where I was comfortable bringing a class A into the area. I tried to help a fellow class A driver who was stuck pretty good.
Report Check-InWas our first choice but road is still quite snowy as of April 16th. Other good options about 10 minutes farther from the park that are dry
Report Check-InSpacious, free, quiet. The place is perfectly located. Good cellphone reception.
Report Check-InSecond time we have stayed. Good cell signal. Plenty of sites. Beautiful scenery
Report Check-InSo many options, fairly private spots. Was able to find a spot two nights in a row, but I got there pretty early both days (around 4PM). Cows are grazing right next to you, and you may get a moo-ing alarm clock lol. Also, there’s a rest area just a couple miles away if you lack a bathroom like me.
Report Check-InNice, quiet. Tons of space, felt good despite a lot of other vehicles. Good AT&T reception, beautiful stars.
Report Check-InFemale travelers here! Only needed a spot to spend the night before visiting Bryce in the morning. We showed up just before sunset. It was pretty crowded since it was Memorial Day weekend, but even so we found a good, secluded spot a couple miles in with a fire ring. Super quiet and felt safe for us. 2 bars for both Verizon and AT&T. Will definitely be back here next time I’m in town.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot in amongst the Pine trees. Plenty of space to set up as you drive through the dirt path. This will be our 2nd night. Can’t hear any road traffic. Once it gets dark, the stars are amazing!
15 mins to Bryce Visitor Center. 3 bars for Sprint.
Report Check-InA great spot 15 minutes from Bryce Canyon. Be sure to turn down one of the many roads that offshoot this to find yourself a good site. There are bunch of people here, but there’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out. 3 bars LTE Verizon.
Report Check-InFew people here. Road is decent enough to come in on. And not far from Route 12. Had some issues with Google Maps changing routing. Might be something to watch for.
Report Check-InEasy access, very quiet spot. Few other vans in here. Perfect place!
Report Check-Indirt road, were there with RV 27ft long. Lots of places around, great forest
Report Check-InRoad was closed when we visited, we had to end up staying in the North Campground inside Bryce
Report Check-InRoad is currently closed. Perhaps due to snow. Will likely be open once weather clears and season shifts
Report Check-InWe ended up staying for several days because it was lovely and convenient. Maybe a 10 minute drive to Red Canyon and hiking, also really close to Bryce Canyon. Over the weekend there were a few people out here, but during the week it was empty. There’s a dump station, water and propane at the Sinclair in Bryce City 15 minutes away. Tons of group sites, sites for bigger rigs (I’m pretty sure this one trailer was well over 40’), and a well maintained gravel road makes this area awesome for boondocking.

Great dispersed camping with trees for shade, plenty of spots with fire rings.
Report Check-InGreat location and one of our favorite places we've stayed in our travels. Video review:

Report Check-InLovely free camping! Knabbed a spot late on a Monday night when the national park was full. We can see enough neighbors in the distance, but no one is too close.
Report Check-InStayed in 2 different spots over the course of 3 days. It’s peaceful and far enough away from the highway to not hear noise. Sites are private.
Report Check-InLoads of campsites down every forest road around. I’ve seen everything from huge bus type class A’s to bicycles and tents. Campsites are far enough old part to have privacy. Two bars of LTE on Verizon. 20 minutes to Bryce Canyon. Relatively flat sites. Dirt road somewhat rutted but even cars are making it. 16 day limit, illegal to collect firewood. Some sites have excellent views.
Report Check-InWe got here late and had to drive in around a mile (past the house ) to get a spot. But the road just keeps going with spots every 100 ft , super spread out great service all the way through w att
Report Check-InGreat road for big rigs. Further back is larger spots, and better than front spots. Road is dusty when parked on road, but perfect otherwise!
Report Check-InAwesome location. Easy in and out. No problem getting our 20’ trailer in a secluded area. Saw many larger rigs find spots. Quick and easy to get to Bryce Canyon NP and Red Canyon. Favorite BLM spot we’ve stayed at to date.
Report Check-InEasy access off route 12, flat dirt road leading to ATV trails. Lots of campers nicely spread out along the road on pullout camps. Drove less than a mile and found an empty spot. Temp went down to 19F at night (mid April) which we didn’t expect. nice spots with pine trees and fire pits. Didn’t see any ATVs. We had 2 bars of ATT LTE.
Report Check-InGreat place, secluded and didn't see a single other person, had great cell service (Verizon and T-mobile). What more could you ask for?
Report Check-InPlenty of spaces and room. We only saw a couple of people of people out here. Great cell service. we have AT&T and Verizon, both had great service.
Report Check-InThis has been one of the best spots we've come across. There is so much space that you are sure to find a slice for yourself even on a busy weekend. There were a few paths I didn't want to attempt in my 2wd van, but it was easy enough to turn around. There was a sign stating 16 days max for camping.
It is dusty and wind does gust through occasionally, however it seems consistent enough to plan for and always died down when the sun went down.
We could hear some people later in the evening one night but it was quiet/far enough that when we closed our door for the night we couldn't hear them at all.
The stars really come out at night and it's a sight to behold.
We would definetly stay here again.
Report Check-InTom’s Best Spring Rd is a very well traveled road with many boondocking opportunities. Good Verizon cell reception. Great place to spend a night or two while visiting Bryce Canyon. If you bring your bike make sure to ride the paved path from Dixie Forest to Bryce Canyon City, it’s a 22 mile round trip
Report Check-InGreat spot to camp 10 miles outside of Bryce Canyon NP. Just a few miles from Red Canyon. Road is in great condition with easy access for any vehicle. Tons of spots. Excellent Verizon and T-Mobile coverage. The only problem is how dusty it gets when it is windy. Many of the sites are sandy. Not enough to worry about getting stuck in, but enough to go airborne with a moderate wind gust.
Report Check-InGreat low key place with a lot(!) of spots. It continues way deeper in multiple directions than shown on the map. We found a quite place isolated from any neighbors. But there was a lot of people parking here. You are allowed to stay for 2 weeks.
Report Check-InAs advertised, free campgrounds in National Forest. Hit and dusty this year.
Report Check-InSo many spaces and each seems very private! Very close to Bryce Canyon NP. Only one other van so for at 4:30pm. Near highway, but the sound is drowned out by the wind. Highly recommend and would stay here a couple nights!
Report Check-InGreat views! As described. A few other RV’s scattered about but plenty of spots.
highway noise
This is AMAZING!! Gorgeous location, plenty of large spots, easy access for vans, great cell signal, and moderate weather when it’s hot everywhere else.
Report Check-InThe spot seemed to be great but we have a RV and it was not possible to reach it because of the thick snow on the path.
Report Check-InWe stayed for 1 night before a winter storm. It was great! Couldn't go back the day after because the road was not plowed.
Report Check-InMany spots to stop along the road. A bit hard to find one when it’s dark but you see the whole beauty in the morning :) close to Bryce NP so perfect when you want to stay in the area for free.
Report Check-InGreat place. Enough spots for RV's. You should only camp there when you are in charge of a toilet. Tents should better go to campgrounds, because they often leave to much used toilet paper.
Report Check-InMany dispersed free camping sites just outside Bryce. I was there on a late September weeknight and had to search for a spot, so I imagine it would be quite crowded in season or weekend. Good cell phone signal.
Report Check-InLots of spots to camp. Some sites more accessible than others. Keep going down the path and explore! many possibilities! Especially if you have 4x4! Enjoy! We love it!
Report Check-InAcross the road from the rest stop the Fremont ATV trail is an AWESOME big NF with lots of camping spots.... no pit toilets... but a quick drive across the highway if you need a pit toilet... cell service comes and goes
Report Check-InGreat place. Quiet. We saw some cattle next to us. There are really many camp spots.
Report Check-InVery quiet and secluded places, every street that goes off from the road has a few places to offer a campsite, a lot of cows around but they weren’t loud at all, a lot of campers around as well, we arrived on a Friday night at 7 pm and there were 2 free sites, so better show up early to save a better place, for free
Report Check-InNice camp spots in the forest marked by Fire rings. Some spots are a little bit less accessible than others but we got in fine! Very near Bryce entrance and free!
Report Check-Innice quiet place, we couldn't hear the road at all. great location for bryce. we got a lot of rain so it was a little muddy but no issues. highly recommend!
Report Check-InLugar sensacional totalmente de graça! Passei uma noite, muitos passaros e vomos um servo!
Report Check-InBeautiful campground, pretty windy so I would have liked to drive the circle a bit farther to the rock wall area to avoid the wind. You could hear it coming at night which was kind of cool. Lots of trees, pretty easy to locate spots even in the dark as you can see the fire pit circles.
Report Check-InPlenty of open spot on a Saturday night. Great location for free camping near Bryce.
Report Check-Inas described, very nice spots. there are a lot of options. we parked our 23' MH in one spot with a beautiful view with a fire pit made of stones
Report Check-Ingood place for camping near bryce. you can ear the traffic from the highway but doesnt bother at all.
Report Check-InGood location, quiet and safe.
Buen lugar, seguro, tranquilo. Algunas vacas pastan por la zona.
La vía se llama Tom Best Spring.
Great place with firepits and quiet. We stay there for two nights with no problem
Report Check-InMany permitted free campsite in the forest near fireplace made with stones. Very nice! Follow small roads starting from the gravel road.
