Description

Here we were 8 days. Super friendly. The locals Alonso rented 3 cabanas for 150 pesos the night (2-3 people). In addition, he has some pitches for motorhomes and / or tents, cost per night: 50 pesos per square, discount on multiple nights. The small restaurant has delicious food, a pizza oven is under construction. The whole plot is green, full of trees provide shade. He is currently building more cabanas and planting more trees. Much quieter than the other accommodations such as Pepe's, etc. Also much shadier than these! Is also the closest to the beach (about 10 minutes on foot or 2 minutes by car). Have for 2 people 50Pesos/night paid absolutely favorable for such a beautiful place! Barra de la Cruz is a well known surf. But the far right you can also bathe safely. Pay attention to the currents in large surf! You have to pay for the Beach Access 20Pesos/day/Person. Although it sounds like a rip off, but it has showers, clean toilets, parking, huge palap for a hammock, restaurant etc. there and you feel extremely safe. Also, it has a fresh water lagoon on the seafront. If you have ANY problem talk to Alonso and he will try to solve it!

Nice campground. The gate was no problem for us (Citroën Jumper/ Fiat Ducato).
Shady spots, bathroom, shower.
200p per night.

Great place! We had no issues getting in with our ford econoline and there was a family with a smallish RV. Very friendly owners, bathroom, showers, communal kitchen and sink. Shady spots. They also sell coffee and homemade pan dulce in the mornings and they have a little tienda with garrafones de agua. Paid 100mxn/person. Beach is 15 min walk and costs 100 pesos. No big rigs.

Loved this spot, it's so relaxed and safe with a great dog called Logan and a very sweet kitty called Bagira. Miss that little guy.
Lots of shade, if you're lucky you'll get the tent spot under a beautiful mango tree, we'd wake up to mangoes outside our tent for breakfast. 2x toilets and one shower included along with a basic kitchen, WiFi is extra. Jairo gets a bit distracted by his phone so might need reminding to restock the toilet roll, but it's all good, he's nice and chill. The beach is 100 pesos per person! I didn't think it was worth that, it's expensive if you're there for more than a few days. There's a free way but we got completely lost. It's a really safe area, we loved camping here and were lucky with the crowd that were there at the same time. Good surfing in Feb, not too busy.

Only suitable for very small vans, as the driveway is very narrow. Had to turn around and ended up at Pepe's Cabañas.

Great campspot but be ready for a war against mosquitoes. It's 80pesos pp and wifi is 28pesos for 6h but you can disconnect whenever you want. The kitchen is really roots as well as the shower and restrooms (not the cleanest...). We loved the beach, although the access is 100 pesos, you can get really good waves and the beach is mostly deserted and beautiful. The whole town feels very safe. Had a great time there.

Report Check-In

Decent camp spot but the beach isn't worth the 100 MXN pp entry, especially if you're coming to surf the point break is packed all day.

Report Check-In

Looks like a great spot, however our truck with slide in camper wouldn’t fit through the gate so we went back to stay at Pepe’s and had a pleasant night.

80 pesos per person per night. you can purchase wifi (25 pesos for 6hours). The access to the beach is 100 pesos per person and a 10 min walk with showers and clean bathrooms.

Nice campground with good shadow spots. 80 MXN per person per night. Wifi costs extra. There are cold showers and basic toilets. You can buy beer a little shop at the entrance. The gate at the end is about +/- 3 meters high.

Very quiet and safe at night.

The beach costs now 100 MXN per person….

Report Check-In

beachaccess is now 100 mxn per person, which is a bit steep. its a nice long white sand beach untouched, just a restaurant and toilets and shower. good for surf, no phonesignal

Updated price to camp with the van:100pesos per person/per night.
It includes wi-fi, shower and bathroom

Report Check-In

The entrance road towards this place from the main road is blocked and locals make sure that you can't come in. Due to the pandemic.

Rosa seams not so sure about her prices but if you talk a bit with her you can negotiate to 50pp/n. Her garden is beautiful there is a lot of shade! At nights it’s super quite and you can hear some waves rolling in. If you bring a dog make sure that Renata her dog is on the leash. Unfortunately she attack my dog and a day later the 7 months old puppy of a traveler friend which she had to bring to the vet. Rosa told us that Renata is pregnant and a bit weird. Thx we had enough humans and guts to separate the dogs. Great place and cheaper than the super unfriendly staff at Pepe!

Perfect place to camp. Had a great time there. Breakfast at camping place is very cheap. Prices 60 pesos pp. Nice vibes, great people. 10 minutes to walk to the beach. Good surf, you can also swim. All levels of surf out there. 1 taco place around and also 1 pizza place.

Report Check-In

Wanted 180 pesos for a Cabina and 100 pesos for two people to camp. The beach is 10 to 15 minutes and 30 pesos per person per day. Dogs are not allowed past parking lot of beach parking lot.
We chose to rent a Cabina since the walk to beach was really hot, and to camp with our rig we can't drive anywhere after we set up.
The place is run on solar, and they have maybe a 50 Watt panel, so 20 mins into the evening our light and fan shut off and we were the only ones in a Cabina. They need more solar and batteries. If you want camping, perfect, you want a Cabina, go to Pepe's. Not worth the 180 pesos for a hot nights sleep.

Very nice owners. We paid 30 pesos per person. Basic but very clean toilets. Takes about 10 min. to walk to the beach. Beach access is now 30 pesos. On the beach you can enjoy a pretty good breakfast. At night we went to the place everyone seems to go to: pizza el dragon. In town there is a hospital where you can try to use the Internet.

We stayed here 2 nights. Alonso is super friendly, and very helpful. This place has a TON of potential. Electricity coming soon, and more cabanas, truck spots as well. No pizza yet due to lack of refrigeration, but we ate at Dragon Pizza in town and loved it! Only gripe is trash left behind by others. Otherwise a great spot!
