Chile
Camping in a large playground. Hot shower. Clean . 5000ch/p , noisy on weekend because of karaoké
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Still doing maintenance on the pool, so real quiet, but quite ok. Pool is normally open in summer, November - February, the rest of the year is quiet, just some people playing soccer most nights till midnight and the dance club on weekends.
Report Check-InHot showers near the pool, the very friendly guard needs to open the gate. Price 10000 for two and a van still. The night was quite without any music. Toilets in the camping area were clean and there was toiletpaper.
Report Check-InStayed here because we needed to go to senasa for dog export papers. Senasa says up to 48hrs to do paperwork. Anyway following night found a better wild camp out of town
Report Check-InSeems OK. CLP 5000 for me and truck camper. No suggestion of a charge for the truck in addition. Filled water tank which is good. Not much shade. Power sockets around. Clean toilets with paper. Only seems like cold water in the showers at the mo but I'll ask. In a strange zone with lots of abandoned containers and I can hear the music blasting from near the pool but hopefully that'll finish early. Overall a bit run down but good enough.
**Solar showers are by the pool so just ask to get let in and go mid afternoon if you want warm water. **
Very loud music well past midnight on a a Wednesday night.
Report Check-InWe really liked this place. The showers are solar so use them in the afternoon and you will have as much hot water as you like. There is a lovely community feel with local sports teams and family groups using the facilities (camping is in a seperate area with closed gate and security staff are always around). Everyone we met was really friendly. We paid $10,000 clp for 2 people, 1 van off-season.
Report Check-InPerfectly adequate campsite. On a Wednesday afternoon there was terrible kareoke really Loughton right next to the campsite but thankfully it stopped at about 8pm...
Report Check-InQuiet and clean camping, no other campers around. Not much going on these days. Gate entrance secured 24/7. We are a family travelling in a camping car (2 adults, 3 kids), payed CLP 20‘000 for 2 nights. Visa Credit card accepted.
Report Check-InWe found this camp really nice and calm.
We spent here 5 nights because we needed to fix some things in our car.
We enjoy the environment, yes there was some groups with music but there were in other part in the camp site and not at the “zona de acampar” so it wasn’t a problem for us at all.
The crew was friendly and the bathroom was clean with hot shower.
Still 5,000 per adult.
great camping. 5000pp + 3000 for the campervan. The owner is really nice and helped us refill our 80L water tank.
Report Check-InStill the same: dusty and empty. It has clean bathrooms, running water and electricity. Still 5000clp p.p. - it’s Monday and a few groups are having bbq with loud music as it is the case in most camping sites in Chile.
Report Check-InHello
It's not a nice place but for sleep one or two safe night in this town it's ok.
It just to visit the mine.
The town seems quiet but we have read so much bad things on Calama (and the people here say also that during the night it's not realy safe place..!)
Wa have pay 5000 for the 2 adults and the 3 children don't pay)
Electricity, shower and water (water seems hard to find in this town)
The crew is friendly
On day they want we pay 3000 more for rhe motorhome.
Take care there is loud lusic during the day...
And on night there was a party with music wich stop at 23h00...
Empty and calm at this time of the year. Fenced, and gate closed overnight - we felt safe. Vistiting the place in cold season do not expect showers to be even warm (solar heated only). If you really need to overnight in Calama it is acceptable option. 5000clp p/p. No WiFi.
Report Check-InGood place, safe, hot shower, electricitie, clean toilet, drinkable water so you can refill and That for 5000 But after negotiation 3500. No karoake
Report Check-InHot shower only since an early afternoon or late evening (it's heated up by solar panels). No wifi anymore. So noisy between 9am-9pm (loud music). You definitely pay too much for what you get, but still the cheapest option in Calama...
Report Check-InOk for a night. Sandy lot and today quite windy. 10.000$ for two persons. a bit run down facilities but clean and with hot water. not many other people tonight. friendly dogs ;-).
Report Check-InCamping is more side business here. They said Wifi did not work, saved myself the frustration to try. Showers, toilet in good state, strange thing is the lock on the doors. Actually one of the better showers we had! Not all electricity points worked. Calama was a functional stop for us, this is a functional please to camp. Open until 23h. There was security guy after that.
Report Check-InPerhaps the best camping in Calama but far from being the best in the world. The camping space is a bit run down, the electricity plugs are from an old age. Only the swimmingpool is maintained but very very cold. There is a lot of people on week-ends coming for a barbecue and swimming. There is hot showers although the bathrooms are not clean. Internet is only available near the once-restaurant. Network: excavation, password : [Password removed by Moderator.] In a city said dangerous this is perhaps the best although a bit expensive option to have security.
Report Check-InCamping in a large playground. Hot shower. Not very Clean but acceptable. 5000ch/p. Friendly dogs. Bbq
