2nd time here for 1 night, coming from CKGR. Last time was 3 yrs ago. Still 130 Pula/pppn. Ablutions clean, maybe a bit renewed (painted?) since 2020? We had water ok, hot and cold. Good shower heads, too, with good pressure. Pool is not in use. Wouldn’t stay in bungalows, though, bet they are not worth the money.
We have stayed on both times at campsite 4 beside the ablution and been the only guests at campsite.

Report Check-In

Stayed for one night, Pula 130pppn. fair priced, nice campsite, every site has chairs and a table, we had water (warm water, not hot and only when we turned to 'cold' on the tab). definitely a good option after visiting the Kalahari.

Report Check-In

Campsites are fine, dusty. Old but clean ablutions with many spiders, but no water at all, and intermittent cold water. Only one outside tap for laundry had (hot) water. Pointless paying for this place if you were hoping for one last proper shower before heading into the Kalahari for a while... The ladies were unkind and did not offer any kind of refund. 'You can wait here and we will talk to our boss'. Which obviously you won't do, if you have already paid for the Kalahari. Seriously, just wild camp, you won't shower anyway.

We spent 1 night at the guesthouse (660 pula). The rooms are very run down and were not clean when we were there. There is aircon, but it can only be turned on (which makes the room too cold) or off (and it gets very hot inside). The sheets were damp and smelly and the musquitos and other bugs get inside from under the front door. There is a mosquito net around the bed. The bed is very small (120cm wide and 180 long). Wifi at reception is very slow. Their campsite probably has better value for money.

only once in camp area, lots of grass and bushes around, ablution clean, wifi at reception, 130 pppn

Report Check-In

Ok place, we were the only ones there, so had the clean ablutions all to ourselves. 130 P/pp. Nice cat friend kept us company. Would have loved a swim but he swimming pool was so dirty that it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned
for months..disgusting.

Report Check-In

Not at all a friendly place. We had to open the door ourselves, while a couple of people from the place were sitting at the pool and surely heard us coming. The reception lady just told us the price, not a nice word. Price for camping is still 130 P / ppn, credit cards accepted. We did not check the installations.
We were considering to stay here for one night, but the welcome was so frosty that we left and camped in the bush along the road to CKGR.

Report Check-In

This lodge is a perfect place to overnight before entering the Kalahari National Park. The ablutions are really clean. Hot shower, charging point, small swimming pool and bar. The staff is really nice. Just a bit dusty.

Report Check-In

price still 130P per person. Electricity for high rig only next to the ablutions. We had to cut the branches. Wi-Fi only at the reception. If water are cold switch on in the man ablutions.

Report Check-In

We didn't have high expectations after reading the below reviews, but we are very pleasantly surprised. Nothing special, but perfect for one night before heading to or coming from CKGR. Friendly staff. Campsites are sandy, but big, with enough shade and big fireplaces with windshield. Nice showers.

Report Check-In

This is a place where nobody cares anymore. You have to open the gate yourself, the only thing the reception lady will say is the price, car parts everywhere, picknick bench very dirty. Ablutions are fine though. Hot shower by solar now. Not worth the non negotiable 130 pula pp, but the only camping option around coming from CKGR.

Report Check-In

It's Ok for one night, as we did not see any alternatives close by. 130 pp is a hell of a price for this place without powerpoints and water only at the ablutions. The place is not very charming. The boilers do not work currently, as they are connected to a generator, which does not work. And we had to be really convincing that the water is not warm at all. Finally they agreed, that we could have a shower in one of the chalets. So if you can avoid this place, better do!

Report Check-In

Not a special place but fine for a night before or after the Maswere Gate in the CKGR. You must ask them to turn on their generator to heat the showers. Even then, they were lukewarm. There are 8 sites each with shade, a picnic table and a fire pit. Some overlook the river - and domestic livestock - through a chain link fence. P130 pppn. Firewood available.

Small, sandy site with one tree for camping between lodges and fireplaces for conference centre. Well maintained ablutions. Close to river. Provisions for electric light and hot showers were available, but didn't work when we visited.
