Description
Protesters blocking road - but did not feel unsafe. Police were around and said it could be a couple hours or all day. When we arrived backed up over 400 meters, lots of semis. Block was on bridge over river and police told us it would take a couple hours to get around. A couple guys offered to take us on local roads to a spot we could drive through the river for a few hundred pesos which we declined. My wife walked up to the protesters and explained we were just foreigners driving through and they let us come to the front and drive by. Did not get the impression this is a common thing here.
