Very chill border crossing environment. When we crossed (US to Mexico), there was very little traffic and the lines were quite short. Immigration is right in front of you when you enter the office doors, TIP is the office to the right of that. Super easy and simple.
They did try to get a bribe for our TIP but we waited them out and they let us through after 3 hours of back and forth (they took issue with our campervan being registered as a passenger van).
