We spent here 2 nights, arrived first night late, talked to the guard. he was very kind and there was no problem whatsoever to stay. nobody talked us or bothered us. after the second night we went to see the ruins and then left. they let you use the bathrooms.

Big and mostly flat parking lot in front of the museum. Too close to the road for my taste but then there is not a lot of traffic. Can here late after visiting Ayacucho so we stayed…

We spent a good night in this place. No guards in the evening so we just parked. Then we had a nice walk in the archaeological site for 6 sols pp. Worth it.

As said, quiet and safe place for the night. Very friendly guards told us we could stay for the night when we arrived at 20:00 - they even gave us a small Quechua lesson 😉

As the parking lot is quite big, our little cat could run around for 2hours, nice after a day in the van.

The only problem was : why when you sleep in a touristic place in Peru, people are always very kind BUT have to come and awake you at 6:00 am ? 😭😭😭 The guards came at this time to make us register. The other night, in an other place, they came at the same time to tell us the next turn was arriving.

Why so early guys ?

the parking is a bit north than the coordinates just in front of the museum. it is guarded 24 hours. we were aloud to stay over night for free after registration. there is a cave (flashlight) 1km further. you can walk there or drive closer (mapsme). entrance to arqueological site 3sol pp. altogether it took us more than 3 hours to visit. at night pretty quiet although it is close to the paved road.
