Never stay during weekends! There was a party with loud music all night long!!
15$ is quite expensive for what you get.
Would not stay here again, we moved on.

Best camping place we stayed till now. We paid 15 dollar for 2 persons to stay on a grass area with a really nice sea view! Hammocks, toilets, shower, kitchen to use, places to sit. Safe because of the big fence. You walk to the beach in 2 seconds. Nice for a long beachwalk or visit the beachrestaurant that is very close (good food.) The owner Thomas is amazing, so kind en welcoming. Highly recommended!

Super nice place for 7,5$ pppn. Nice soft grass field with showers toilets and a private beach. There are some bars and restaurants 1 min away with wood oven pizza as well. Thomas was a nice host and super helpfull.

Lugar bello y muy especial, Tomás y Leo son Excelentes anfitriones, precio $7.50 p/p p/d, wifi no está bueno, muy lejos la señal para los campers. Tour al bosque primario para avistar pájaros y monos aulladores.

Beatifull place, Tomás and Leo are the best, stilm$7.50 p/p p/d. WiFi not good at camper parking. Tour to the forest for bird and howling monkies watching.

They ask now 7.50$pp/pn. We asked them why they increased their price, they said us they were not earning enough money before so they changed it in 2020.... We left.

Es ist gerade 4 Uhr morgens und der Nachbar fährt mit seinem Traktor. Insgesamt ist es eher ein lauter Platz, da die Fischer seit einer halben Stunde mit LKWS kommen und rufen, Boote mit Außenborder ablegen, eine Kneipe Abends noch lange für Unterhaltung sorgt, ringsum (4uhr) Hähne krähen......
Der Platz selbst ist nicht schlecht und hat extrem gutes WiFi, sowie eine schöne Wiese - aber wir verschwinden nach einer kurzen Nacht wieder. Für 5$/P und Kind 2,5$ findet sich sicher etwas ruhigeres.

Neighbor used a noisy tractor whole night and the hostel workers started to mow the lawn at 7 am.
Couldn't sleep well.

When we arrived there it was crowded with people. In the evening there was very loud music from the near beachbar till about 11 pm. In the morning the neighbour started his tractor for an hour or so. There is only one shower and two toilets. We left after one night.

Nice spot on perfect lawn to camp - nice garden arround with enough leveled places and with many powerplugs (110v). Duchas Callientes and clean banos at least in the beginning with papertowels. Wifi works quite ok (very poor claro reception with sell phones).
Next door at the beach very lovely Pizza Place with quality food for a good price (Daniel from Switzerland, Italien speeking).
Good beach for swimming/chilling.
Still 5US$ ppn

Ok place, good location. Swimming was great as the sea was really calm. According to the owner, the sea is always calm here.

Parfait spot face à la plage. Terrain d’herbe plat avec un peu d’ombre. Il y a des chaises longues en bois à disposition sur la plage. Juste à côté, il y a un petit bar détenu par un Suisse. Vous pouvez y boire de bons Mojitos et manger une bonne pizza. Lorsque vous revenez de la plage vous pouvez vous laver le corps ou les pieds grâce à une douche extérieure et un robinet qui sont judicieusement placés à l’entrée du jardin de ce spot.
De nombreux services comme l’électricité, le wifi, les toilettes propres et la douche parfois chaude et parfois froide. Mais il fait tellement chaud et humide dans cette partie de l’Equateur que la douche froide devient un grand plaisir. Il y a aussi un billard et une table de ping-pong extérieurs.
Le propriétaire est souriant et agréable. Il possède un chien vraiment sympathique avec les humains et les autres chiens.
5$ pppn. Nous recommandons ce petit paradis !

As reported by others. However, the electric is wonky. Wouldn’t always run the AC and created a “hot skin” effect. WiFi is wonky too, but seems to work strong when its on. Hot shower. Toilets with seats and paper. Grassy zone is nice. Just a busy little fishing village to relax in. $5 per person.

Good Camping to rest, clean the House and Wash the clothes. Big RV friendly. Don’t worry about the gates. See the photos, no High restriction, only be carefull by the trees on the Street near the gate, too low, but easy to Cross. We are 3,8m high. Wi-Fi too slow but sign in all Camping area. We recomend.

Great place at the beach, $5. Pp a night . Pool table, ping pong, bathroom , shower hot or cold, electric. On beach near fishing boats plenty of fresh off the boat seafood!

We camped for $5 per person per night just to the side of the gate to the beach, close to the water spigot and beach shower. Baños clean with seat and toilet paper, ducha could have been cleaner but it was ok. Shower was hot but with low pressure. We found this beach very interesting with all the fishing activity, not really a swimming beach.
Be sure and eat next door just behind the bar and have Jaquita (spelling??) make you a wood fired pizza.
The owner Tomas talked to me about the previous bad review claiming it was a misunderstanding, language barrier thing. I think he is a good guy but reserve judgement on that incident.

We kind of had the opposite experience as others. Maybe because it's low season? The big space is very nice. Many overland vehicles could fit here. But the showers and bathrooms weren't the cleanest, and the electric shower head means barely warm showers. The wifi hardly ever worked; we got good signal but it was disconnected most of the time. It maybe worked for ten minutes for the day we were there. And the owners were not very honest. We asked about laundry and Maria Jose said it was 2.50/load. I showed her our laundry and we agreed it was 2-3 loads. The next day we asked how many it was exactly and her husband started to count the individual pieces (including each sock, each piece underwear...). He counted 60 pieces and said it was 5 loads! They said one load equals 12 pieces! I said we never agreed to this. They said this was normal in Ecuador (I don't think so). We finally agreed to pay 7.50 and we folded everything. So I don't feel this place was worth the money.

Great place. Trees have grown quite a bit since the first photos were taken. Much more shade options now. Great beach, friendly folks, still $5pp. Little kids free. No height limit on gate, the gate roof opens along with the gate door. We were given keys to the gate to the beach and the entrance gate for safety. Bathrooms clean with seat and paper! Nice water spigots positions around the camping area. 1 minute walk next door for basic supplies, and bar with volley ball nets, Soccer goals out front, and lots of fishermen willing to sell you their fresh catch.

Really nice place with grass. Very friendly owners and helpful. Entrance with 6x6 MAN truck 18 t is possible, but tight at the gate because of a roof on the gate, a few low hanging boughs. Perfect surrounding, great bar at the beach. We planned to stay there for one night and stayed longer in the end.

We just love this place, is very quite and safe. The owner Tomás is a very good person and he treat us like his friends. We paid 5 dollars per person per each night, the place has very clean restrooms, showers and place to camp with tents or campers. Also you can hire big beautiful tents already built with two beds for 10 dollars per night.
The last option to stay here is to pay for a bedroom with one, two, three or four beds, they have a bathroom and air conditioned. The place is located in a little town called Bellavista, the people is friendly and you can find restaurants and little stores near to this camping place. We would really recommend this place!

Great relaxed place to get away for a bit. Also enjoyed the free ping-pong table and billiard table.
We arrived late and the gate was locked. Could get a hold of the owner on WhatsApp +593 98 110 9401 and he came to open up.

Very nice and petfriendly. They have huge tents already set up that are clean with 2 single beds each one for 10pp. they also have cabins with private bathroom that are a little more expensive. Was able to do the laundry here. Enjoyed walking on the beach and watching the sunset. There are some dogs outside that can be a little aggresive towards other dogs but no one got hurt.

Nous sommes a l'hosteria Camare depuis 4 jours, et on ne veut plus en repartir.
La gentilesse de Thomas le propriétaire, ainsi que de tous les habitants voisins est touchante.
Malgres les degats du tremblement de terre il y a 9 mois, le lieux est paradisiaque, pelouse, cocotiers et bouguinviliers, jusqu'au raz de la plage de sable blanc, la mer a 40 metre, les transats en bambou sur le sable tout y est pour ne plus repartir.
eau, electricite 110 v, wifi ok
On peut acheter poissons et camarons aux pecheurs, une petite tienda vend quelques produits secs et frais, et l'unique bar de plage, en travaux, propose des bierres fraiche sous un coucher de soleil ...hummm
La tranquilité, le calme, et la gentilesse, dans ce cadre naturel de la Cote Nord Equateur rythmeront vos journées.
Nous recommandons une halte a l'hosteria Camare.

Great place to stay. 5 dollars pp per night plus 5 dollars if electricity is required. 3 dollars the big laundry load. The owner is super friendly, discreet and would do anything to help. Clean toilets and hot showers. Fruits can be picked from trees, if you manage to reach them ! The nice little poppy dog steal the shoes if left unattended. The sea is a bit rough, beware with children.

Beautiful campsite. Very well kept, clean and friendly. You can park on the sand, by the beach, or on the back, close to the trees. The owner said we could get mangos and papayas from them.

Very nice hosteria direct on the beach. Flush toilets and hot shower (both very clean). Big covered area with hammocks and pool table and lots of electric plugs. 2 fishermen camps 50m walk on the beach, rough ocean. Room for a few rigs in flat secured spot in property. Access from main road at km 72 or 71. Access ok for big rigs except for a low hanging cable when you leave main road. 5 usd/pers. very quiet, even when the fisherman camps are active, still very ok. Good wifi.
