Description

ADMIN NOTE: Users report "When we arrived at the beach planning to sleep over all the locals we spoke with said that it's dangerous at night, that cars are being stolen or robbed. The beach is beautiful and wild, but in this place several thefts and thefts are frequent, besides the disposal of bodies. Because of this, the authorities close the only access by car at 22:00 and only open the next morning, however pedestrian access occurs freely and malicious people can enter also. "

A praia é linda e selvagem. Não há casas. Há uma rua que margeia a praia, todavia não possui saída. Perigoso para pernoitar. A polícia fecha o acesso à praia por volta de 22:00 h

Report Check-In

nice for staying during the day. the street is right besides the beach. but closed at 22.00h. no sleep over

Report Check-In

I've been warned by multiple locals that this place is very dangerous to stay. Now they've built a gate at the entrance that closes during the night. police officers won't let anyone stay. but even if you can manage is not worth the risk

Report Check-In

I just wanted to report that over the last 2 weeks, I've parked up at various places along the beach road (mostly within the first 3km from there the entrance road turns along the beach). No issues whatsoever. I've also been warned, but only once about danger. I've noticed police patrols driving periodically up and down. Great place. Super quiet. Right on the beach. Awesome sunrise.

thanks ioverlander, thanks Jonis! indeed plenty of spots along the dirty (but manageable with a 2x4) road along the beach. very calm, beautiful beach. a local step by and warn us that it could be dangerous, but we felt safe during the 2 days spent there. some surfers during the day and nobody at night

Report Check-In

We agree. Good on you Jonic! Nice spot to spend a couple days. We think this part of the island is much more suitable for camping rather than the southern part. Lots of spots all along here. Police drove by several times, we felt safe.

Report Check-In

Good on you Jonic. Great place. Even along the dirt road you will find several places to boon dock.

Report Check-In

Nice place in Front of the Beach. You can Camp in the Grill areas. Drive from the Main Road to Plaia Moçambique and Follow the dirt Road
