Great place to spend a few nights. 100 pesos/person. Hot shower, woodfire pizza's (Resto only open on weekends, 120pesos, big and tasty), view over the valley. Perfect base for visiting Tapalpa. Waterfall 'El salto de nogal' is worth the visit.
Bring some firewood as it gets chilly in the evening.
We spend 2 nights, had the place all to ourself.

As described, and now updated, this is a great location to stop. There is a fantastic sunrise over the valley. WiFi was reasonable and so is MXN$150 for two people. It was a weekday so the restaurant was closed and we had the place to ourselves other than the lovely owner. We only stayed one night on our way to Tapalpa where we found street parking. In hindsight, driving back to this site for the second night would have been a better choice. Free parking is not always the best parking.

A wonderful stopover near Tapalpa with a killer view from their on site restaurant. the owners are great, as is the manager Loren, very sweet and good English spoken alongside easy to understand Spanish. WiFi available, well water also available and they have a laundry too alongside a hot shower and clean toilets. pizza lovers will enjoy the wood fired pizza oven and tasty thin crust pizzas.

really nice tree filled camping area without hookups, have flush toilets and hot showers. Restaurant on site with great wood fired pizzas! 50 pesos per person for tent camping. There are also a number of cabanas that can be rented that are very nice.

Beautiful location about 10 to 15 minute drive from Tapalpa. They have a parasailing school, so there were lots of parasailers here on the weekend which was really cool to watch. The owner Juan Carlos is very friendly. They have a small restaurant with excellent burgers and wood fired pizza. Bathrooms with flush toilets are clean but dimly lit. Hot showers. Wifi is free but spotty. $50mx per person to camp.

Report Check-In

Beautiful view overlooking the valley. We paid 50 pesos per person. Flush toilets w/tp! Hot showers included. Restaurant on-site. Ecological park offering lessons and paragliding experience off the mountain along with mountain biking and climbing experiences. Very nice owners. No designated camping spot but it's wherever you want to park or whichever trees you can navigate around! The town of Tapalpa is 15 mins up the road.
