In the morning at 9 o'clock two military patroule vehicles came to the control the passport, very friendly queries over telephone and in the end they made it clear to us that one should not stay overnight, I would be in the border area they wanted us to leave in 10 minutes. But then we still have to take on the breakfast, so who drives here, must think twice, to be sent at night away.

Level grassy area, good visibility- and sound insulation to the street. Totally quiet at night.
Good food in the first "hotel" left on the main street below (in Russian).
Perfect place before or after border crossing. After our 6 hours border crossing (we had no problems, it was just really busy on a Saturday afternoon in the holidays) we were happy to have this place. Even in darkness it was easy to find this spot. Suitable for any kind of vehicle. There is also an abandoned house that you can use for shelter to pitch a tent. Really quite at night. So close to the border still 3G with Georgian Magti.
