Latest Check-Ins

Beautiful campground with electric and non-electric sites. Mix of very clean pit toilets and one shower house with flush toilets. Sites are well spaced, though not particularly level. Wonderful time of year to be here - no bugs, no crowds, and lovely green hills with free roaming bison and long horn cattle.

Report Check-In

Wild turkeys, deer, long horn and bison roam free. We just happened to come during Elk Hunting season so most of the sites that were occupied were hunters. No cell reception.

Can not pay upon arrival if you just show up for a open spot. Must use website to “reserve” the spot and get charged a $8 “reservation fee”. No signal in campground to make “reservation” so we had to drive back to the Visitor Information Centre to use cell data to claim our campsite.

Quiet, decent sized spots. Must make reservations online at Recreation.gov
$24 for one night with electricity. Dump station onsite, boil water advisory.

Report Check-In

Decent location in the woods of Wichita. Mountains around the area are absolutely stunning.
Have to reserve sites, listed as $14 but I paid $22 via recreation.gov maybe for last minute fees or something.
No Verizon service throughout most of area.
Showers were closed likely due to a current e-coli outbreak in the water.
Long horns strolled through camp at sunset. Pretty cool.

Report Check-In
