A very nice place near the river. The road is close but there are a lot of trees and the place is a little hidden. Good for staying over night, free parking, campers RV even trucks have space for parking.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
still possible. reasonable quiet at night. safe.but sooo much trash, especially at the part where you would be out of sight. also clearly a public toilet there . And lots of dogpoop everywhere. cellphone reception with Entel. room for 3 maybe 4' vans. The next day we saw the place slightly up the road called riverside and it looked better.
Report Check-InFor us it is an OK spot. It seems to be used a lot, so there is waste of different kinds. Also not as roomy as expected. However up on the acces road is more place to stay. H+ reception from Entel.
Report Check-InSafe place to stay for a night. Of course some rubbish and you hear the road, but it felt very safe. A local also told us, when we arrived, that it is a safe place to sleep.
Report Check-InAs described - ok for a night. Some rubbish, somewhat hidden but still noisy.
Report Check-Innice place, since there were already other overlanders with their cars i took the other side of the river (between road and river) and put my tent there, just had to lift my bike, good flat places for a few tents, trafdic quite loud, less at night and okay for me
Report Check-InWe first parked close to the river, and after asking local people who were enjoying the place, we decided to go up for the night, near the railway. It was a good idea: the river got bigger and bigger in the evening, with very strong current, when it was a small river that we could cross by foot when we arrived earlier!
Report Check-InStill a good place! a couple of other campers around and some locals making a fire. Felt very safe although most places could be visible from the road.
Report Check-InIf you are looking for a place to sleep along this road between the border and Los Andes I recommend to stay here. Not that is it perfect (noisy!) but it doesn’t get any better. We checked several spots.
Report Check-InQuite a nice place to be before croissing the boarder still available but still noisy !
Report Check-InWe expected to spend a noisy night with trucks and the noisy train's horn, but in fact slept well.
The train stop at night and very few trucks during the night and not too noisy.
Not many choices in this road.
Lovely, easy to access, noise from the main road to Argentina and quite a few cars passing on the dirt road, and the train itself isn't even that noisy, the engine's horn is.
Many stray dogs around, reasonably clean of garbage.
Easy to find. You can be seen from the road although no one bothered us.
In the morning there is an old and very loud train that comes every hour.
