Parking on the hard shoulder in front of the gate for every vehicle size, wonderfully quiet and dark, just a lamp at the site, in the morning from 7 staff traffic

Report Check-In

Camped outside the gates, staff still very friendly, security light was a bit bright but didn’t have the outer cover on our tent as was boiling, plus nothing an eye mask couldn’t sort :)

Report Check-In

Had a wonderful quiet night outside parked outside the gate. The next morning we were are able to visit and enjoy the ezna ruins as soon as they open at 8AM before the crowd arrived.

Report Check-In

We spent a very nice night outside of the gate. We ask if we could stay inside and they told us no, but outside no problems. There is a security guy all night long with dogs. You can also sleep on your tent here, that's what we did. No service at all.

Report Check-In

Very quiet night at the entrance of the ruins. The ruines close at 3pm.

Report Check-In

Dudes were just closing up, had me park right in front of the gate. Quiet. Cool ruins without too many people.

Report Check-In

Very nice place to spend the night. You can park right in front of the gate. We chose to park on the right side as it’s a bit further away from the street light and, maybe?, less visible.

Security guard is super nice and is used to foreign rigs parking here overnight.

Free.

Wie saw lots of mayan ruins, but one of the best was Edzna! And the free campsite was o.k.

Was a quiet night. the security gaurd was friendly. said it was fine. free to camp. ruins open at 8am. we were able to be the first ones in. we were done by 11 and it was hot. 60p/p worth the stop they were spectacular. our dog couldnt come with us but he was allowed to be tied up outside our truck.

Report Check-In

As described, no problem to park with a 24 feet RV on the low side before entering the site. Quiet and Safe.

Report Check-In

Great place to visit. I did not spend the night but was parked just outside the gate. Would be happy to spend the night here, but gotta keep on truckin. Lots of room just off both sides of the road by the gate. But needed to unhook the car to turn around as there is no pull through spot. The ruins are fantastic so glad I stopped.

Safe and quiet . Ruines are great and open 8 to 5. Enjoy guys !

we arrived at 4:30pm so we asked to park in front of the gate. very friendly staff. very quiet at night, just a few moskitos.
the ruins are awesome. go an look at them. still 60mxp.

Report Check-In

Arrived around 5:30pm. No problem to park at the entrance gate for the night. Fairly level. Felt safe. Not within sight of the main road which is nice. Quiet. No charge to park there outside.
Visited the ruins in the morning, price is 60 pesos per person. Just a handful of others there first thing in the morning. Have been to Monte Alban, Yaxchilan, and Palenque and found these ruins to be just as enjoyable, well-restored, clean and very nice bathrooms. Recommended.

Report Check-In

Visited here and had to pay 60 MP per person. If you keep to the left of the visitor centre building to the right you can most probably enter for free. Wifi was not working when we visited, but a worthwhile stop on the libre to Merida.

Report Check-In

Entrance fee 60 MXN/p, overnight parking in front of the gate, very friendly people. No telcel. We visited in the afternoon and only 5 others tourists there.

Report Check-In

Arrived at 9PM. We parked under the light on the left side of the gate. Security dogs went off like a charm and the guard came to check who it was. He was friendly and seemed used to people sleeping outside the gate. Great place to sleep and very quiet! Went to the ruins at 8am when it opened and got out by 11:30am as the tourbusses arrived! Holy Iguana so many!

Report Check-In

Guard say no problem.
There is two or three flat spots just before the entrance.
Quiet and safe.

Nice quiet place for the night. Free. I visited the ruins late in the day (excellent light for pyramid photos then!), and asked a guard if I could park for the night. He showed me where to park just outside the gate, where there’s a security light. He makes rounds all night & said he’d keep an eye on me, and there’s also a security dog who barks at any visitors in the night. I gave him a small tip & had a peaceful night.

Report Check-In

Had a quiet night there. The ruins are really impressive and we never saw so many iguanas at a single place ...

Report Check-In

Good spot to stay for one night before visiting these beautiful ruins. Parking is in front of the closed gate. Some cars with people who want to check their emails but nothing really bothering.
Internet is unconstent and very slow. Only emails and minor stuff like Facebook...

Report Check-In

It is important to emphasize this spot is not inside the parking zone, it's just at the ruins entrance but ON the side of the street. Guard is there but he is not close. The spot was safe, but not that quiet. There were some vehicles coming and going during the night and early morning. Campeche doesn't have many options for RV's or 4x4 so this works for one night if necessary. Open WIFI but didn't work well.

Report Check-In

Really nice spot. Parked in front of the gate and asked the guard for permission, they were really friendly.
The ruins are really nice and full of life (iguanas mostly, but also birds and other animals). Entrance fee is 55 pesos.
Restrooms inside were really clean.

Report Check-In

Safe, quit, free. Enough space for one big rig.

Report Check-In

We are 24 feet long and had no problem finding a parking spot. Even larger rigs can fit. We were the only ones there at 8 am when they opend. Beautiful archeological site.

Report Check-In

Like its written here before. Arrive late and sleep outside the gates. Go and explore the ruins from 8am and you will be alone there for 2 hours. Ruins are nice and able it to explore alone is something really special.

Report Check-In

Asked guard and no problem parking in lot overnight. Suitable only for vans and truck campers. Big rigs won't fit.

We did not stay overnight as we moved on to Uxmal but well worth a visit, large well kept site almost completely to ourselves and very quiet so good place to stop over assuming they will still let you. No food at all only a cold drinks machine.
