Description

!!! Under Consideration for Closure!!!

a really good place!! free!! you have to take the little forest road 25, few miles after the moss glen falls on the road 100 when you arrive from south. 4 campsite few yards after the beginning of the road, you have to go to your right when you arrive in front of the fence. fire rigs and a picnic table. no restrooms no trash bin so you have to "pack it in pack it out" !! please be respectful so this site could exist like this ever after. beautiful and quiet, few trails, and a little creek for water. not for big rigs but ok for tents, vans, campers and other small or medium RVs.

Incredible spot close to 100

As you enter there is a small sign warning that this area is under consideration for closure. Apparently people are littering, not picking up TP / turds, and cutting trees.

We showed up on a Sunday afternoon and found a smoking fire ring. We extinguished it but it seems like a common problem in the forest over the past few years.

Nice site but lots of litter. Juice box straw wrappers and TP. Great message folks are giving their kids. Official signs warning of closure if litter and other violations continue.

Absolutely beautiful National camping. No amenities there is however a beautiful brook right on the site. There are 7 car/van/tent sites each having your own private brook. There are additionally 3 other walk-in sites with private brook. The first 5 sites I have great 4g service with AT&T the rest of the sites are spotty. There is not enough room for RVs or pull alongs. **Strictly van/car/tent camping ONLY*** VERY Popular so get here early/mid-day and if sites are taken check back periodically, there is a nice swimming hole .25 miles from here that at the bottom of a small fall that is absolutely amazing and about 5 miles away is a nudist swimming hole called the punch bowl. Both are worth the trip while waiting for a spot. 14 day camping but it’s not patrolled you could do a longer stay if needed

Stayed on the walk-in campsite further in on the forest road up the hill. There was a little trash around the 3 fire pits that we picked up. Nice sites near the river.

Excellent spot. Quiet, pretty, near a river. Not far from the highway but very little road noise. Directions told me to take a sharp right turn from highway 100 onto 25 - definitely not possible in anything larger than a sedan, but there’s a good turn around spot a tiny bit down the road.

This place is so dreamy we ended up spending two nights here. After you turn off the highway take the first right to find the four campsites. If you go further up the road there are a few dispersed campsites, but no room for a car. If you are in the area during the fall this is a must stop! Limit call service on ATT and no amenities.

There are four campsites if you turn to the right near the entrance, and then a few further up the road. Definitely all are for vans/cars or tents only, wouldn't recommend taking an RV up here.

Didn't see any picnic tables, but there are firepits and the creek is just next to our site. Two other cars with tents at the lower sites, but still room for others (Thursday night).

Relatively clean (found half a lemon, a pile of cans, and some TP lying around, plus a LOT of melted wax on the rocks??), but there is a sign at the entrance warning that this area is at risk of being closed to camping, so PLEASE bury your poop, pack out your trash, and take care of this place, because it is a gift that it is available for camping, and we don't want to lose it! And remember that also includes the creek --- protect the creek waters by burying poop far from the creek, and doing any dishes or bathing away from the creek as well. 150+ feet away is ideal.

As a side note, would 10/10 recommend going to Warren Falls if you're in this area, as well. Beautiful place, stunning swimming hole for warmer months. Again, please take care of such a pristine area.
